Listen to avoid disaster

COME:
Matthew 2
12 Then, being divinely warned in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed for their own country another way. 13 Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, "Arise, take the young Child and His mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I bring you word; for Herod will seek the young Child to destroy Him." 14 When he arose, he took the young Child and His mother by night and departed for Egypt,

16 Then Herod, when he saw that he was deceived by the wise men, was exceedingly angry; and he sent forth and put to death all the male children who were in Bethlehem and in all its districts, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had determined from the wise men. 17 Then was fulfilled what was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet, saying: 18 "A voice was heard in Ramah, Lamentation, weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, Refusing to be comforted, Because they are no more."

HEAR:
Avoid Disaster walk with God
When you are cooperating with the plan of God you can avoid disaster. Only those listening AND obeying will avert the disaster. Those who were just going about their normal lives, not paying attention to the plan and word of God were caught up in the disaster.

Many avoided this disaster
By the Grace of God...
God warned every one of the people on 9/11 to stay away from the Twin Towers, which is why there were more people absent or late that day than any time in the towers history. There should have been a death count near 60,000-70,000 that day, and only 3,000 died.

DO:
PAY ATTENTION to the Word this year. Make a point to be in the Word of God daily. Not just reading along with the church reading plan, although that is important as well. But making sure I take time to listen to and for the voice of God. Reading His Word and Listening to His Sayings.

PRAYER:
Holy Spirit... Here I am! Speak, your servant is listening...
