I am Darrell (DG) Wolfe, Storyteller & AuDHD

Also... Writer, Thinker, Widower, Certified Geek, Multipotentialite, Antiestablishmentarian, Irreverent, Unorthodox, Chaos Organizer.

My passion is to see the dots that connect seemingly unrelated ideas and realities, and stitch them together making complicated things simple.

Current AuDHD hyper fixations...

  • Theology: Learning to read the biblical authors in their OWN contexts...
    • Reconstructing The Way of Yeshua
    • Deconstructing Modern Western Churchianity, mostly White Evangelism.
    • You CANNOT be a Jesus Follower and a MAGA, they are antithetical ideologies.
    • If your pastor can't talk about sex positively and use cuss words and handle academic commentaries (not the same as pastoral commentaries)... find a new pastor.
  • Analytics: Automating office processes with SQL and Python and Excel.
  • Creative Writing: Creating a magic system where the underlying principle can be summarized as E=MC2.

Fair Warning!

This is my personal blog, expect chaotic, unfiltered, and still in-process rantings and ramblings on whatever my AuDHD brain has decided to study recently.

I reserve the right to change my mind early and often as new data and perspective is presented.

When I challenge my own worldview assumptions, I often take extreme positions at first, trying them on for size, before finally settling down into a calmer more centered view.

I almost always eventually land on "None of the Above" for most topics, be they political, theological, or otherwise.

My current extreme pondering..

I generally don't consider myself to affiliate with any particular church, denomination, or political party... in fact, I generally reject most or all of the establishments in all those domains.

The longer I study the biblical authors in their own ancient contexts, the more compelled I am that whatever governs a society must have just as much focus on the seeking the benefit of 'the other' as in preserving individual rights. A society that does not start with a 'least of us is our highest priority' ethos is doomed to eventually fail. That society can be a local church, city, state, or even a whole nation, but it must practice this ethos to be successful.

This is why the USA experienced a form of wealth as a direct result of FDRs new deal, and subsequently failed as a society when those New Deal reforms were whittled away in subsequent decades.

This same ethos is applicable to local churches just as easily. If the only function of your church is to gather for a concert and public speaker once a week, do the world a favor and close your doors. Open them again when the primary efforts of your church are focused on meeting the real needs of your community, not just in glib PR stunts once a year or once a month, but in your day-to-day reason for existence.

Who am I?

I am a widower remarried to a widow attempting the special needs version of a Brady Bunch with six kids (Autism and ADHD among other things), three dogs, six cats, and a lot of chaos; who ironically, hates chaos, c'est la vie.

By day I write code in Cursor (SQL, Python, and others GitHub Profile) and work with Excel as a Business Intelligence Analyst for a county assessor’s office, slowly migrating the office from file cabinets to digital first processes.

Most nights I just try to survive the onslaught of a special needs house, but when I manage to carve out time, I work on my fiction hobby (Manna, Sarcasm, & Burritos | Royal Road).

In 2022, I finished a BA in General Christian Studies (The King’s University TKU) with an emphasis on studying the biblical texts in their own Ancient Near East (ANE) and Second Temple Period Jewish contexts.

I’m at Fuller Theological Seminary now working on an MA in Theological Studies. When I started, I thought I might go on to do some ThM and PhD work. Given my personal/home Sitz im Leben (Brady Bunching), waning capacity for various reasons, and changing interests… I am now focusing on courses that interest me. Mostly I’m interested in the literary nature of the biblical texts, and I’m hoping it will help me in my fiction writing.

I periodically publish papers from coursework and/or theological studies or ponderings in other places.

Finally, laugh a little...

Finally... if you take yourself too seriously, I'm sorry for you. That must be a boring life.

The End.... ? Or Beginning...? Both?
