Broken by The Rock

Luke 20

7 Then He looked at them and said, “What then is this that is written:
‘ The stone which the builders rejected
      Has become the chief cornerstone’?
[b]

18 Whoever falls on that stone will be broken; but on whomever it falls, it will grind him to powder.”19 And the chief priests and the scribes that very hour sought to lay hands on Him, but they feared the people[c]—for they knew He had spoken this parable against them.

There will be a day that you will either choose to fall on The Rock, or you will ignore him and The Rock will fall on you. This is true ultimately to judgement after this life and age is over. However this is also true in areas and arenas of your life. Judge yourself and you will not be judged.

1 Corinthians 11:31 (Amplified Bible)

31For if we searchingly examined ourselves [detecting our shortcomings and recognizing our own condition], we should not be judged and penalty decreed [by the divine judgment].

The Rock will break you. If you throw yourself on the Grace and Mercy of The Rock He will remove from you whatever needs to be removed to take you to the next level of His Plan for you. If you sense that you ought to be beyond where you are in life or in His plan... something is there holding you back. Something you may not understand. Nevertheless, if a child jumps into a fire he will be burned, despite not understanding it. Therefore it is very important to continually, daily, throw ourselves upon The Rock so that He may break us of the things that bind us and hold us back.

If you press on without letting Him Correct, Rebuke, and Discipline you than you will find The Rock crush you instead. The Rock was not meant to crush but to be fell upon.

Broken is Good... Broken = Whole

Unbroken is Incomplete and empty

Seize the Day!

Luke 19

41As he approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over it 42and said, "If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring you peace—but now it is hidden from your eyes. 43The days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment against you and encircle you and hem you in on every side. 44They will dash you to the ground, you and the children within your walls. They will not leave one stone on another, because you did not recognize the time of God's coming to you."

There are times and seasons appointed for the moves of God and the changes of the Holy Spirit. It is not possible to attend a meeting of Smith Wigglesworth, John Lake, Martin Luther, John Wesley, or other mighty leaders. It's not possible to attend the final West Coast Believers Convention of 2009. There are defined and definite seasons. Those times are set and you cannot go back in time. Grace and Mercy are new every morning, but certain things cannot be done over, only forgiven and washed. You cannot REDO your kids lives growing up, you cannot REDO a marriage... sometimes you can start over, but not REDO.

One must take a hold of the seasons that arise. You must take part in what is going on and participate in any way possible. This applies especially in the callings of God for your life in general and daily. You have divine appointments today, will you keep them?

Recognize the time, before it's too late. Has God been calling you to make changes? MAKE THEM! Has God been calling you to move? MOVE! Seize the day!

Newsies Cast - Seize the Day Lyrics

Music by Alan Menken.
Lyrics by Jack Feldman.

DAVID:
Open the gates and seize the day
Don't be afraid and don't delay
Nothing can break us
No one can make us
Give our rights away
Arise and seize the day

DAVID and NEWSIES:
Now is the time to seize the day
Send out the call and join the fray

DAVID:
Wrongs will be righted
If we're united

DAVID and NEWSIES:
Let us seize the day

Friends of the friendless, seize the day
Raise up the torch and light the way
Proud and defiant
We'll slay the giant
Let us seize the day

Neighbor to neighbor
Father to son
One for all and all for one

Open the gates and seize the day
Don't be afraid and don't delay
Nothing can break us
No one can make us
Give our rights away

Neighbor to neighbor
Father to son
One for all and all for one

Pressing Past!

Luke 18

1Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.

In this chapter Jesus is telling me that there are factors to prayer I have not participated in. As the woman had press past the judge and the blind man had to press past the people around him so must I press past the things that attempt to silence my desire and prayer.

7And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? 8I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?"

42Jesus said to him, "Receive your sight; your faith has healed you." 43Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus, praising God. When all the people saw it, they also praised God.

There are things in life that are calling for my attention. Some of them are strictly unpure. But many of them are seemingly just. Finances, work, and the pressing desire to move forward. I've allowed my own fears, past mistakes, and past misunderstandings to hinder my prayer life. If you cannot trust God and Believe He WILL answer, than your prayer is just noise. "God might, if He sees it fits into his will... blah... blah... blah" is NOT faith! It's fear based praying based on past failure. If you don't know what the will of God is, than you need to go to His word, find out the will of God and then pray it. "If it's your will..." is very rarely a faith based prayer.

I must regain a time in my life where I followed God unashamed and unhindered by past. Today is new... today begins again.

Don't Look Back... Jesus is Coming!

Luke 17

20 Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation; 21 nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’[d] For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.”
22 Then He said to the disciples, “The days will come when you will desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it. 23 And they will say to you, ‘Look here!’ or ‘Look there!’[e] Do not go after them or follow them. 24 For as the lightning that flashes out of one part under heaven shines to the other part under heaven, so also the Son of Man will be in His day. 25 But first He must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation. 26 And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: 27 They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. 28 Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; 29 but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. 30 Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed.
31 “In that day, he who is on the housetop, and his goods are in the house, let him not come down to take them away. And likewise the one who is in the field, let him not turn back. 32 Remember Lot’s wife. 33 Whoever seeks to save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it. 34 I tell you, in that night there will be two men in one bed: the one will be taken and the other will be left. 35 Two women will be grinding together: the one will be taken and the other left. 36 Two men will be in the field: the one will be taken and the other left.”[f]
37 And they answered and said to Him, “Where, Lord?”
So He said to them, “Wherever the body is, there the eagles will be gathered together.”

This set of passages intrigued me deeply. I have just been listening to a teaching from Charles Caps from June 2002 on The Solomon Concept and end times prophecy. He caused me to rethink some of what I know about end times prophecy and how the scriptures paint those days vs how people have said the scriptures paint those days.

I asked myself several questions about this passage. The main one I was curious about is that it seemed to me at face level this passage contradicted something he said about the rapture NOT taking place in the twinkling of an eye but the changing of our bodies would take place in the twinkling of an eye and we would be here for 40 days after. It's very interesting. But doesn't this verse speak of the rapture? I've quoted this verse as a rapture verse several times.

    Answer: NO It doesn't.

Where then? His disciples asked? Where will those taken be taken? They will be gathered like wheat at His Second coming, which is after the rapture and not until the end of the tribulation. The Holy Spirit had me compare his wording in this passage:

  • Everyone Sees Him
  • Heaven opened and Lightening in the sky
  • HIS day
  • Comparing destruction of evil places to His coming
  • Gathering People
  • The BODY refers to HIS body which will come WITH Him at the end.
To This passage in Revelations:

 Revelations 19

11 Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war.
14 And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean,[b] followed Him on white horses.
21 And the rest were killed with the sword which proceeded from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse. And all the birds were filled with their flesh.

2 Thessalonians 1

3 We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is fitting, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of every one of you all abounds toward each other, 4 so that we ourselves boast of you among the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that you endure, 5 which is manifest evidence of the righteous judgment of God, that you may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you also suffer; 6 since it is a righteous thing with God to repay with tribulation those who trouble you, 7 and to give you who are troubled rest with us when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, 8 in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power, 10 when He comes, in that Day, to be glorified in His saints and to be admired among all those who believe,[a] because our testimony among you was believed.
11 Therefore we also pray always for you that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of His goodness and the work of faith with power, 12 that the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Therefore this passage is talking about the last day, the day when Jesus returns to set right all things for his thousand year reign to begin. It is not talking about the rapture. Which means an entire paradigm shift regarding end times thought. There are very interesting things to come.

OK... so what? What does this mean to me right now? I think the biggest admonition here is to remember Lot's wife. DON'T LOOK BACK!

Do not look back at past years decades or minutes. Look forward. What does God have for you? What are His plans for you? Is what you're doing right now taking you toward his plan or away from it? There is no neutral.

Are you making plans for later this year that God would totally LOVE to turn upside down if you'd let Him? God wants me living independant of any "JOB" and living in a house fully furnished, finished, full and free before 2011. Will I let Him do that? Will I break my own mindsets and plow the ground of my heart to allow my mindset to expand to include TOO BIG DREAMS?

Jesus is coming soon! We have no time to wait and wait for nothing to happen because we were too scared to take His plan and run with it. I will take steps toward that freedom. It starts with consistency here in this journal. It then moves to completing what I started with KOG Concepts. What's next? I'll get that done and let you know.

Darrell G. Wolfe

PS... Charles pointed to the scripture and said that we WILL know the day of the rapture as the day approaches. The time will not be a suprise to us at all? Throw your head for a loop? Click on the link to hear it for yourself. You be the judge:

Luke 16

8 So the master commended the unjust steward because he had dealt shrewdly. For the sons of this world are more shrewd in their generation than the sons of light.
9 “And I say to you, make friends for yourselves by unrighteous mammon, that when you fail,[c] they may receive you into an everlasting home. 10 He who
iswhat is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in faithful in what is least is unjust also in much. 11 Therefore if you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? 12 And if you have not been faithful in what is another man’s, who will give you what is your own?
13 “No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.”

The children of the Kingdom of God are still over messing around in the worlds system and trying to get it working for them. The problem is that the worlds system is broken and only broken people can use it with any form of success. They may seem to be doing well for awhile. But sin always has it's payback.

The hardest part about being faithful is being consistent. It is fairly easy to be faithful in a hard time or emergency. But can you be consistent day in and out. When no people are looking, do you treat your family the same.  Are you harder to deal with on days when you're tired or days that end in "y"? Are you seeking the best interest of every customer whether a new hire is sitting with you or not? Are you treating each and every person as though you were on review for a promotion? Because you are? Jesus himself is looking for people he can trust to do work in His Kingdom. But if you have not been faithful in what is another man's who will give you what is your own? Not God!

Consistency is THE KEY to living a faithful life for God!.

The Older Brothers Lack

Luke 15

11 Then He said: “A certain man had two sons. 12 And the younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me the portion of goods that falls to me.’ So he divided to them his livelihood.
31 “And he said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours. 32 It was right that we should make merry and be glad, for your brother was dead and is alive again, and was lost and is found.’”

Here is an interesting story about being lost and found. Both brothers had growing to do. The older brother is the one I'm concerned about here. This is the story of dedicated workers in the ministry and church world. They serve and serve. They get jealous of the younger brother who seems to be getting blessed despite his lack of obedience. The Father lovingly points out: It's all yours. The younger brother forgoes his rewards and inheritance. The older brother gets mad a calf was never offered to him. He didn't understand that the inheritance was divided to THEM no just his brother. The calf was never offered because it was already his. He had only need receive it. But he didn't. He kept working for something that He already owned.

This is the story of the older brother and the story I need most hear. Recieve and walk and work FROM The Blessing not FOR it!

Luke 14

25 Now great multitudes went with Him. And He turned and said to them, 26 “If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple.

Jesus is not here telling us to HATE if He says we must LOVE right? There is a matter of degree. Have you ever taken a drink of tea but thought you drinking coke? Did it taste awful, even though you like that tea? Or even one soda but another in mind because you grabbed your friends glass?

In that context you hated that drink you might otherwise like a lot. In comparison to everything and everyone else, God and He alone, must be your first and only love. Your love for others does not come second to your love for Him. It comes through your love for Him. You have no love for others, not true agape love, without loving them through Him. All love outside of His love becomes destructive. Passion turns to lust, protection becomes smothering.

And as My wife pointed out as we were talking this over just now, SLEEP is NOT first place. If God calls you to pray early in the morning, do you roll over and go back to bed or do you get up and pray? Never say that you are "Not a morning person." All you do is set your mind and body up to decide that you are unavailable to be used of God in the morning.

     Ask yourself this question today:

"What am I allowing to take first place above God in my life?"

If you can truly answer: "Nothing."

Than you are truly blessed. Strive after, aim at, and press toward that goal.

Luke 13

18 Then He said, “What is the kingdom of God like? And to what shall I compare it? 19 It is like a mustard seed, which a man took and put in his garden; and it grew and became a large[c] tree, and the birds of the air nested in its branches.”

20 And again He said, “To what shall I liken the kingdom of God? 21 It is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures[d] of meal till it was all leavened.”
33 Nevertheless I must journey today, tomorrow, and the day following; for it cannot be that a prophet should perish outside of Jerusalem.

The birds of the air nest in the branches of the tree started by the seed. The Kingdom of God is currently in the hands of the Church. The Church is the Tree of Life for the world in this age and time. The individual in the Kingdom of God is equally required to grow his branch to become a nest for the birds, which are the people of the world seeking refuge.

The people of the world are seeking ways to get thier needs met. They are turning to a broken financial system, a broken medical and health system, a broken security system, and everything else in this worlds system is broken too. The Church has always and will always have the best answers and best care for people. When the Church isn't doing her part than the world hurts. They turn to "Social Security" which has people too broke to be social and anything but secure. Government homeless programs spend more time filling papers than helping people. They finance poverty and create systems that keep people dependant on the system instead of providing the capacity to become a contributor instead of a taker.

Unless you run a Church or Program or have the capacity too right now there isn't much you can do about that. However I can do something. I can take steps in my life to make sure that what I do is providing for others. Each of us will do something different, because our callings are unique. I don't have the resources to start a homeless program, yet, but I can write. I will do that here on my personal web journal and on my finance site.

Do not seek ways to get money in... seek ways to get the Word out!

From there? Who knows for sure. I will dedicate the rest of my life to creating things that supply the needs of others: Spiritually, Physically, Financially. It starts with staying on course for the two projects I have. Then finish others projects I set aside. Restaurants and libraries and other projects that WE have in our hearts to do will create jobs and fruitfulness for others too.

 Darrell G. Wolfe

Side Note: Three Measures and Three Days... Working the leaven into the dough. Jesus worked the Kingdom of God into the towns as He went on his way to his last moments before the cross. The Kingdom of God works like that. We create leaven and leave behind us a wake. The results will be the fruit of our work. I must be diligent to leave good fruit.

Luke 12

35 “Let your waist be girded and your lamps burning; 36 and you yourselves be like men who wait for their master, when he will return from the wedding, that when he comes and knocks they may open to him immediately. 37 Blessed are those servants whom the master, when he comes, will find watching. Assuredly, I say to you that he will gird himself and have them sit down to eat, and will come and serve them. 38 And if he should come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants. 39 But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and[d] not allowed his house to be broken into. 40 Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.”
41 Then Peter said to Him, “Lord, do You speak this parable
only to us, or to all people?”
42 And the Lord said, “Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom
histhem their portion of food in due season? 43 Blessed master will make ruler over his household, to give is that servant whom his master will find so doing when he comes. 44 Truly, I say to you that he will make him ruler over all that he has. 45 But if that servant says in his heart, ‘My master is delaying his coming,’ and begins to beat the male and female servants, and to eat and drink and be drunk, 46 the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the unbelievers. 47 And that servant who knew his master’s will, and did not prepare himself or do according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes. 48 But he who did not know, yet committed things deserving of stripes, shall be beaten with few. For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more. 49 “I came to send fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled! 5051 Do But I have a baptism to be baptized with, and how distressed I am till it is accomplished!

If you follow the pattern off thousand year watches, and assuming Jesus Died and Rose again bringing in the reign of the Church through the Holy Spirit in 33AD which seems to be a consensus but not unanimous, than the second watch ends about 2033 AD and the third watch begins.

This in interesting because other signs have been pointing to this being the season but I've never heard this one talked about. We are in the last days, that much is certain. If we are not watching and paying attention and looking for His coming we tend to become overly concerned with life here. There are matters we need to attend to and when we aren't looking for His coming it seems that we have all the time in the world and delay after delay comes along to help us toward inactivity.

Jesus IS COMING! According to this chapter He is coming READY OR NOT! Those who are ready and watching and active in His Kingdom will receive from Him and those who are not may miss out on some things that could have been theirs.

We are to be caring for the people of God in whatever way HE has called us to. Your calling in life will always involve others. Right now one of my callings to get The Word out to people is this website. Someone else's calling may be to care for the physically needy through medicine or charity. Other's may be protectors in Law. We are called to keep others in mind serving Him by serving them.

It's also a warning not to allow worry, also mentioned in this chapter to steal from us. Worry is NEVER acceptable. It is NEVER to be tolerated. But it's more than that. You don't just NOT WORRY. You must also ENGAGE the Word in Faith instead.

Luke 11

9 “So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 10 For EVERYONE who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. 11 If a son asks for bread[d] from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? 12 Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? 13 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”

33 “No one, when he has lit a lamp, puts
it in a secret place or under a basket, but on a lampstand, that those who come in may see the light. 34 The lamp of the body is the eye. Therefore, when your eye is good, your whole body also is full of light. But when your eye is bad, your body also is full of darkness. 35 Therefore take heed that the light which is in you is not darkness. 36 If then your whole body is full of light, having no part dark, the whole body will be full of light, as when the bright shining of a lamp gives you light.”

I stand again seeing how I've been ever hearing but not perceiving. Pastor Terri told a story about when she first met Pastor George in college. One comment she made was how easily he accepted the Word. If it was pointed out to him that the Word of God said something he would examine it to find out if it's true. Once he saw it he would reply:

"Well, that's the what the word says. Therefore it's true. How do I need to change because of that?"

I don't know how many times I've read that HE GIVES... He loved the world so much that HE GAVE... EVERYONE who asks receives. So why aren't more receiving? James tells us that it's because we ask amiss. This means we ask incorrectly and with wrong motive. But right here in the same chapter is another layer on that truth.

TAKE HEED that the light in you is not darkness, not even a part of dark. What does this mean? There is a lot of layers on this. The part speaking to me is simply this: EVERYTHING God speaks to you IS HIS WORD. His Word is Light. Therefore if you have chosen to ignore ANY part of His Word you have darkened yourself in part.

If He told you to work on something and you've been delaying, you are part dark. If He told you to stop that habbit, however trivial it seems, and you have put off dealing with that, you are part dark. If He told you ANYTHING or gave you an inner witness toward a change you need and you have not dealt with that directly and head on, than part of you is dark. Sometimes we put off the feeling or sense that it's HIM dealing with us about something so that we don't have to face it. That is ingoring His light and you will be part dark.

This part darkness will create in you a double mind about things. You want XYZ... dr pepper... whatever, but HE told you to deal with that habbit, than you are part dark ifyou have failed to deal with that.

Always deal with His witness and Word Directly and Immediately. It's not too late. Repent, move on, and deal with it now.

The Martha Syndrome

Luke 10

8 Now it happened as they went that He entered a certain village; and a certain woman named Martha welcomed Him into her house. 39 And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus’[k] feet and heard His word. 40 But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me.”
41 And Jesus[l] answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. 42 But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.”

So here I find something that seems to pertain to my life. Martha is Distracted by Service. I've gotten so busy being useful as work that I've gotten to putting aside other things that are more important. Work should never be a higher priority than Family or the Callings of God.

  • Martha: Distracted with Service
  • Mary: Sat and Listened to THE WORD.

MARY chose the better thing!  To listen to The Word is the BEST thing you can ever do. That includes not just hearing The Word, but actually doing what it says. It's FAR better for me to reserve "Research and Learning" time until I have at LEAST done what He has ASKED me to do. Set times and dates for these activities and follow through. This should help keep things on track.

As long as I DON'T spend my attention and energy on the things HE has called me to do, they will never happen.

I may have dreams of owning business and publishing books and websites. But if I don't actually DO things to head toward it, it will never happen. How do I read a story about MARTHA DOING being the bad choice and come to the conclusion I need to DO MORE?

GOOD QUESTION... the answer is...

I don't. I need to DO LESS of the things that are distracting me and DO MORE of the things of higher priority that HE has asked me to do. THIS is what MARY was doing. She wasn't doing nothing. She was doing something of HIGHER VALUE AND IMPORTANCE!

PRAYER… HIGHEST VALUE!

Luke 9

There are several interesting things I've seen today.

  • Jesus sends his disciples out with no stuff and no money and God supernaturally provides. Then faced with a need that exceeded their experiences they reverted back to relying on Money. "How would we pay for it Jesus? This crowd is too big… we can't afford it…" This is the mindset of the person who has not yet learned to change from God as provider from Money as provider. ANYTIME you find yourself considering the cost of something as a factor in being able to do it… you have a red flag that MONEY not God is the provider or determining factor in your life.
    • BUT Darrell… The bible says to count the cost right? Yes. It is so that you can plan, write the vision and make it plain, and most importantly be specific about what you are believing for. NOT so that you can decide IF your going to do it.
  • Jesus, after a big day full of events… Goes to be alone and pray!
  • Jesus goes to a mountain to pray, and AS HE WAS PRAYING the Glory came.
    • The Glory is reserved for those who seek God in Prayer.
    • I always wondered what Jesus would be talking with Moses and Elijah about. Like, "Hey there, how's the last few years in heaven been? Perfect… yeah I know… See ya'll in a few days." Ha Ha. What did they talk about? Mystery solved… it was in the bible the whole time. They talked about his upcoming death that He was about to ACCOMPLISH. It's an odd thing to ACCOMPLISH death. But that is why He came. He came that WE might have LIFE! To do that HE had to be US in death!

I MUST remember… PRAYER is the best thing I can do. Not writing, art, music, banking, promotions… PRAYER…

PRAYER is the most valuable asset I have. It's time I started treating it that way! How much money do people pay for great concert tickets for an entertaining "Super-Star". SO MUCH MORE… should I give what I have to spend time in audience with THE KING in a one on one. THE ruler of the universe DESERVES MY attention, DESIRES MY attention! And He shall have it!

ONE PARABLE....

Luke 8

11 “Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. 12 Those by the wayside are the ones who hear; then the devil comes and takes away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved. 13 But the ones on the rock are those who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, who believe for a while and in time of temptation fall away. 14 Now the ones that fell among thorns are those who, when they have heard, go out and are choked with cares, riches, and pleasures of life, and bring no fruit to maturity. 15 But the ones that fell on the good ground are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience.   16 “No one, when he has lit a lamp, covers it with a vessel or puts it under a bed, but sets it on a lampstand, that those who enter may see the light. 17 For nothing is secret that will not be revealed, nor anything hidden that will not be known and come to light. 18 Therefore take heed how you hear. For whoever has, to him more will be given; and whoever does not have, even what he seems to have will be taken from him.”

This is all ONE parable. Who doesn't have the Word? He who doesn't have GOOD soil so that he can have a rooting take place? He thinks he has the Word... but the soil being a hard path, rocky or full of thorns is choking out the Word and it's being taken from him. Who is responsible for the soil? The one who the soil belongs to.

     LIGHT=WORD

Who lights the Word into a heart and then puts it under the bed? The one who refuses to till their own soil. The one who allows the Cares to CHOKE the light out. What is revealed? The four soils all look the same from the outside. You are talking to a group of people about the Word and there are all four types of soils present. All of them are smiling and all of them are saying AMEN! But as they walk out... live life and come back... the SOIL TYPE becomes REVEALED in their life.

NO CARES! HEAR...DO!

03/15/2010

In prayer today:

Never before has there been a generation with so many tools and resources and so little success. Value has been placed on learning more than doing. Ever learning but never able to come to the knowledge of the Truth.

It's time to focus. Game Time. Stop seeking ways to get money in and start seeking ways to get the Word out! Promotion will come but it won't satisfy you unless you were already satisfied. Your team needs your anointing, start walking in it!

Ever time you feel great financial pressure you stop. Pray thankfullness over what you have and thankfulness over the Promise and Blessing. Then Pray for the needs of others starting with Leaders, Partners, and Family.

     See:

2 Timothy 3

1 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come... 7 always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth...10 But you have carefully followed my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, love, perseverance, 11 persecutions, afflictions, which happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra—what persecutions I endured. And out of them all the Lord delivered me.

Todays Reading was from Luke 8

14 Now the ones that fell among thorns are those who, when they have heard, go out and are choked with cares, riches, and pleasures of life, and bring no fruit to maturity.

21 But He answered and said to them, “My mother and My brothers are these who hear the word of God and do it.”

The  primary reason for fruitlessness in the life of the believer is CARES... also verbalized as NEED.

"HOW are we going to do this? What are we going to do? Maybe if I do XYZ I could get a better handle on this... I know if I work these hours I'll get this pay... If I get this second job NOW I'll be making it..."

These kinds of thoughts and words are from a need based mindset and not a Word Based mindset. No plans that were not directions given to you by the Holy Spirit will prosper for long. What you compromise to get you will eventually loose. These types of words listed above are a RED FLAG that the CARES of this world and DECEIT of riches has entered in and are CHOKING the life out of you.

Jesus says the answer is DO... not DO another job or another plan... DO THE WORD... SPEAK THE WORD ONLY.  Meditate on the Promises of God until they become more real on the inside of you than anything else.

DO NOTHING until you have a clear direction from the Holy Spirit. If you don't have that direction GET AWAY as long as it takes until you have it. Get quiet and remove yourself from everything that distracts you. Turn worship and praise music on. Thank Him for everything you can think of. Pray for a while until you get a sense and awareness of HIM. Not a "feeling" with your five physical senses, but a spiritual sense of His Presence. Then get into the word. Lastly get QUIET! Wait on Him means WAIT on HIM! Sit still long enough to get direction. You may have to get ONE direction or ONE DAY at a time until you can handle the rest...

What are my assignments today sir?

GOODNESS - Mylon Le Fevre

EMIC: 03/14/10

Mylon Le Fevre was our "guest" speaker today. Guest in that he has his own ministry now, but not a guest in that he came FROM EMIC and therefore was just home for a visit.

Some of the key things that the Holy Spirit hit me with during service:

  • There may be mortgage problems in Texas... but the mansions are paid for in the Kingdom of God.
  • Son, you are a student-teacher: Teach what you know and learn what you don't.
  • This is your' assignment:
    • Stop trying to get money in
    • Start seeking ways to get The Word out
      • Your problem has been mindset, focus, and lastingness
      • Write a mission and vision for your projects
      • Lift that veil!
    • Word and Prayer and Confession: EVERY DAY!
  • The Goodness of God is the foundation of Faith: Gloria Copeland
  • Anything good is God
  • Anything bad is the Devil
  • If you don't resist the bad, because you don't know to resist it... it won't flee.
  • As you seek God He rewards your diligence.
  • Kingdom: Kings Domain/Dominion
    • Jesus is the Lord of the obedient
    • Jesus is the Judge of the disobedient
  • Are you serving God or Money?
  • God has GOOOOOOD Plans for you Jer: 29:11
  • Contentment with godliness if GREAT GAIN
  • Have reverse paranoia: Everybody is out to Bless Me!
  • Sow + Wait = Harvest EVERYTIME
  • Contentment means that I am just as happy before I get what I wanted as after. The item or desire doesn't affect my joy level.
    • I get it, then keep right on going. I don't gain or loose momentum.
    • ENJOY THE WAIT!
  • IF is a covenant word. CHOOSE life: Deut. 30:19
  • David, after God's own heart, RAN TOWARD his enemies: Ps23
  • YOU enforce the Devil's Defeat
  • Goodness is following me
  • The way you describe you life to others is a test of your confession: We should be smiling as we are handed the test.

Love MORE?

Luke 7

41 “There was a certain creditor who had two debtors. One owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty. 42 And when they had nothing with which to repay, he freely forgave them both. Tell Me, therefore, which of them will love him more?”
43 Simon answered and said, “I suppose the
one whom he forgave more.”
And He said to him, “You have rightly judged.”

There is no person that needs MORE forgiveness. ALL have fallen short of the GLORY standard. However, there are those who are more aware of their shortcomings and sins and more aware of their need for the saviour. Those "Love more" because they perceive the extent of their need. What I must learn here, is that as long as I feel like saying: "At least I'm not THAT guy!" I have missed the point entirely.

The only difference between THAT GUY and ME is:
  1. The Blood of Jesus
  2. My knowledge of the The Blood of Jesus
  3. My Acting on The Blood of Jesus
As I remember that I will be more likely to want to jump to a person's aide rather than jump on a persons back!

LOVE to FIGHT

Luke 6:27-38 (New King James Version)

Love Your Enemies

27 “But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28 bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you. 29 To him who strikes you on the
one cheek, offer the other also. And from him who takes away your cloak, do not withhold your tunic either. 30 Give to everyone who asks of you. And from him who takes away your goods do not ask them31 And just as you want men to do to you, you also do to them likewise.
32 “But if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. 33 And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. 34 And if you lend
back. to those from whom you hope to receive back, what credit is that to you? For even sinners lend to sinners to receive as much back. 35 But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil. 36 Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful.
Do Not Judge

37Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. 38 Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”

Let's take a look at the Key Words placed in these verses:
  • Love
  • Do Good
  • Bless
  • Pray for Those
  • Offer
  • Do Not Withhold
  • Give to Everyone
  • Do Not Ask For Them Back
  • Judge Not
  • Condemn Not
  • Forgive
This would be an impressive list for anyone to be living out, but when you take a look are realize that Jesus is directing the emphasis of this chapter to your enemies... you have a real understanding of NO EXCUSES.

When you are frustrated or upset with anyone... it's time to pull out this list. Sometimes the enemy to your peace may not be someone TRYING to cause you harm. Maybe, sometimes, it's a customer, co-worker, kids, spouse, or someone else causing frustration to you... sometimes... maybe it's YOU not THEM that's the problem. No matter what the situation the solution to ALL people issues is found in the list above.

Why did Jesus leave us this list of turn the other cheek type stuff? Was it to turn the residence of the Kingdom of God into a doormat? Was Jesus EVER a doormat in His life on earth? THEN... the answer is NOT that He wants doormat Christians.  The answer is this:

  •  "For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”
It's all back to what Jesus said was THE parable to explain ALL parables:
The SOWER went out to SOW... What you sow you reap... period. If you got problems with people, SOW LOVE, RETALIATE at the enemies attack against you in LOVE... THEN God can step in. Notice...When Jesus was being taken to a hill by his kin folk to be tossed over the edge: It doesn't say Jesus "went out swinging". It says He passed through the midst of them. Love just walks through traps and frustrations. The problem will find itself back on the person causing it if they don't repent.

What or Who have you been frustrated with... Could you be displaying a lack of LOVE?

Prayer THE Priority

Luke 5

16 So He Himself often withdrew into the wilderness and prayed.

Prayer:

Did you ever wonder how Jesus got to hear the Father? When He said I only say what I hear Him saying... was there some special connection that He had that we could never have? No... He had to use the same tools provided to us or He could not be our substitute. People didn't carry around bibles back then either. The only copy of the Hebrew bible was kept in the synagogue. Jesus undoubtedly spent a lot of time there growing up in order to know "It is written..." But He would not have kept a copy with Him like we do? How did He know the Word and will of God so well?

He prayed...He took Himself away from the people, crowds, noise, business, and all the things that weigh so heavily on a persons day. He took himself for a long walk (No Cars) into the wilderness.

Prayer is the only way you will ever hear the voice of God for your life and your day. Reading the bible will give you great insight and it's alive and it will speak to you. But only through developing your prayer life and making prayer a priority will you hear Him throughout the day and be able to make solid and wise decisions.

  • Make prayer, by yourself, free from noise and distraction (expect possibly praise-worship music) THE not A, but THE priority of each day!
  • It may be helpful to make your bible reading time a separate activity from your prayer time.  Either separate them by a specific time for each, or even do one in the morning and one at night.
  • Prayer throughout the day is important and vital to living right. But it is not to replace Set Apart Times of Prayer.
  • Spend some time listening not just talking. Schedule in LONG periods of time to say nothing, hear nothing, JUST listen!
  • Bring with you items you would like to focus on, including leaders, family, callings, asking for assignments for your life and day, and asking for Divine Appointments.
  • Pray in Tongues at least Ten Minutes. (Not using tongues yet? See This)

Anointed to Produce

Luke 4

17 And He was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written:
18 " The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me,
       Because He has anointed Me
      To preach the gospel to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,[j]
To proclaim liberty to the captives
And recovery of sight to the blind,
      To set at liberty those who are oppressed;
19 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD."[k]

43 but He said to them, "I must preach the kingdom of God to the other cities also, because for this purpose I have been sent."

There is no purpose, no drive, no desire, no function, no job, no ideal… Nothing higher and of more importance than to recognize the Kingdom of God for yourself. It is a real Kingdom, with a real King. It is not merely a play, or ritual, or religion. It is not just story. It is not just a truth to be experienced on the other side.

The Kingdom of God is a real, present, penetrating powerful force. It over rides and over rules all other Kingdoms, Nations, Rules, Governments, and Authorities. No law of physics can stand in opposition to This Kingdom.

There is one purpose Jesus came, and one purpose I have been called to in life. All other callings, purposes, visions, dreams, goals, beliefs, and desires MUST stem from and be evaluated and judged by this highest of callings:

To distribute the Kingdom Of God to others Anointed of the Holy Spirit.

The Anointing is that power of God that Destroys the Yoke and Removes the Burden. It is the Anointing that Jesus walked in on earth, it is the Anointing that raised him from the dead, it is the Anointing that Paul, Peter, John, and others walked out in signs and wonders. There has been much talk of the Anointing in certain circles over the last 100 years. However we must now look to the purpose of the Anointing if we are to walk out our calling as the Last Days Church. The Purpose is The Kingdom of God.

I work for Jesus Christ. I don't work for man. That means that when I seek promotion in my monthly income I DO NOT SEEK that from the "JOB" that I am working at. The company I report to CANNOT pay me enough to fulfill the dreams and visions and callings of my family. I MUST by necessity outgrow working for any company to walk out the specific callings on my life.

Even if you were called to work for a company, you are called to increase on and outside of it. You're income should never be limited to your paycheck. GOD gives the increase.

1 Corinthians 3:7
So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase.

So I must start to think outside the cubicle if I am to see God's will come to pass in my life. However, there is a catch and trap here. I know this, but I must not therefore seek to see what I can do, create, "make happen" to force it. Before I can "DO" anything to participate in my increase I must first accomplish a few other things:

  1. Make the WORD First Place and Final Authority
  2. Renew My Mind, mindsets, perceptions, and thinking

I must realize that I work for HIM now. First thing in the morning I should report to him as I would to any commander or boss. I must ask Him for the orders of the day, and week, and month, and year. I seek Him in Prayer and the Word. I seek Him throughout the day. I'm on assignment. My work is NOT a place I go to pass the time until God uses me. IT IS my field of assignment. As I prove faithful there, I can move on to other works.

There is more that could be and needs to be said about this… but that will come another time and place.

What are your orders today sir?

Before Time

03.08

Luke 3

The Genealogy of Jesus Christ
23 Now Jesus Himself began His ministry at about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, the son of Heli, 24 the son of Matthat,[d]the son of Levi, the son of Melchi, the son of Janna, the son of Joseph, 25 the son of Mattathiah, the son of Amos, the son of Nahum, the son of Esli, the son of Naggai, 26 the son of Maath, the son of Mattathiah, the son of Semei, the son of Joseph, the son of Judah, 27 the son of Joannas, the son of Rhesa, the son of Zerubbabel, the son of Shealtiel, the son of Neri, 28 the son of Melchi, the son of Addi, the son of Cosam, the son of Elmodam, the son of Er, 29 the son of Jose, the son of Eliezer, the son of Jorim, the son of Matthat, the son of Levi, 30 the son of Simeon, the son of Judah, the son of Joseph, the son of Jonan, the son of Eliakim, 31 the son of Melea, the son of Menan, the son of Mattathah, the son of Nathan, the son of David, 32 the son of Jesse, the son of Obed, the son of Boaz, the son of Salmon, the son of Nahshon, 33 the son of Amminadab, the son of Ram, the son of Hezron, the son of Perez, the son of Judah, 34 the son of Jacob, the son of Isaac, the son of Abraham, the son of Terah, the son of Nahor, 35 the son of Serug, the son of Reu, the son of Peleg, the son of Eber, the son of Shelah, 36 the son of Cainan, the son of Arphaxad, the son of Shem, the son of Noah, the son of Lamech, 37 the son of Methuselah, the son of Enoch, the son of Jared, the son of Mahalalel, the son of Cainan, 38 the son of Enosh, the son of Seth, the son of Adam, the son of God.

                               Adam is 1

Enoch is 6: It takes 6 generations to get a man who will walk with God like He wanted… God is so thrilled he TOOK HIM! God's a Tooker…

Shem is 10: It takes 10 generations until man is SO messed up He's got to reboot the system. Shem is the last of Jesus Line to be born PRE Flood. Incidentally, some believe Shem IS Melchizedek, See Also, who is the one who blessed Abraham.

Jesus is 78 in the line. By then, the bible says, Sin had reached it's fullness. Jesus came to pay it all! But not only did He come… HE WAS ALREADY HERE!

John 1

The Word Became Flesh
1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word
was
God. 2He was with God in the beginning.

HE… The Word… Jesus… HE… The Word!

Just think… before time… HE IS…

What was it like just 100 year ago? Today is 03.08.2010… What was it like in 1910… how much has changed?

NO:

TV

Internet

Cell Phones

Computers

Cars as WE know them

Pluming, electricity, sanitation… as WE know them…

It was the decade that America started her downward plunge into darkness by aborting the rules God placed in the constitution about no Federal Banks.

What about just five more 100's ago? 1510

Just a few years after Martin Luther received his revelation of Faith not Works!

The Protestant Reformation was just taking place… America was a dream of a few explorers.

That is only 500 of the 6,000 +/- years that have elapsed since God said:

Let US create Man in OUR image… after OUR likeness…

Just think… THE WORD was there… before all of it. Everything you see. Every building and every plant and every person. All came from and through THAT WORD. Just think of the enormity and power and integrity of THAT WORD.

Before Adam came…

HE knew, HE saw, HE planned, HE IS… Not only HE WAS… HE IS…

RIGHT this very moment, God IS before time:

HE IS creating ADAM…

HE IS Blessing Abraham…

HE IS turning toward Jesus being born into his Human form…

HE IS turning from Jesus as HE takes on Sin for humanity…

HE IS pointing Martin Luther to the Word…

HE IS charging through Europe and the USA with a Smith Wigglesworth…

HE IS charging through the USA and Africa with John Lake…

HE IS working through your ancestors…

HE IS watching your birth, however amazing or terrifying the event was, after all not everyone has a rosy past, YET HE IS… right there making sure you would arrive…

HE IS watching you take your first steps…

HE IS watching you read this…

HE IS watching you get up tomorrow…

HE IS receiving you into Heaven, or allowing you to choose hell… in the future…

HE IS… WAY MORE than any problem you have… What's the problem?

You know it… maybe… with your head… but you don't KNOW IT! You are as good as your word… GOD is as good as HIS! If you don't believe HIS word it's because you don't believe Him! Not only is God as good as His Word… HE IS his WORD! Whatever God is The Word is! Therefore to doubt the Word in anyway is to doubt God! Read, Believe it, and Meditate on it until it becomes more real to you than anything else around you or even in you… only then have you come to really believe it!

Food for Thought…
