2016 - 2017 The Winds of Change

2016 was the worst year of my life. I almost went back to an old life, partially did.

Earlier this week, I came within a breath of making decisions that would have led to the destruction of a family, and ultimately my spiritual then physical death.

But God....

Last night (Friday night), God used Flavia (my wife) to break through the walls.

For the first time in my 36 years on planet earth, I know I'm going to be OK. I'm OK with not being OK, and now I'm going to be.

He used her to heal me. And now I have to help heal the pain I've caused her for 14 years.

It will be a journey, but one worth taking with her by my side.

I am "In Love" with Flavia A. Wolfe, and I want the world to know it.

I'm looking forward to 2017, really really looking forward to what miracles God has in store for this family this year.

PS: I'm open to anything, even the call to ministry. I surrender all. I'm willing to pay it forward, use me.

You are wired for story. Did you know that?

I'm almost done reading a book called Wired for Story: The Writer's Guide to Using Brain Science to Hook Readers from the Very First Sentence, by Lisa Cron (Author)

Mind blown. We are literally wired for story. She breaks down the brain science behind every element of the craft and character creation. I'll never write a "teach you" book again without including story because of this book.

In one section, she takes a mediocre idea that has no pull, and turns it into a story I still want to read and think about days later. All without actually writing the story. She just breaks down the brain science behind why we think the way we do, and then gives us just enough of the background that the story starts writing itself. Amazing.

Here's a Ted Talk called Wired for story: given by Lisa Cron at TEDxFurmanU:

Thanks to checking her out!

I want a Hippopotas for Christmas!!!!  #Pokemon #Fan

OK... so several years ago I decided that the song "I want a Hippopotamus for Christmas" was my favorite Christmas song.

Then, after learning about Hippos, I decided they were one of my favorite animals.

This morning, I found a Hippo Pokemon set to the Christmas song... and I just HAD to share!

Hello.... Welcome

I'm setting up this site to be a single HUB for all of my various creations. I'd rather not hand out a different business card to each person, as the topic of interest changes and I happen to have written about it.

Since I'm a Multipontialite, I figured it fits to have a single hub. If it works for Seth Godin, it works for me!

Thanks for stopping by, Darrell
