#SWBC 2014 - Convention Notes

I didn't make it to the #SWBC2014 all week...

...but my wife made all the day sessions. Finally, today was July 4th 2014, a corporate/national holiday. I had the day off. So we got up... late... and went to the first session Kenneth Copeland preached Session 1&2, Jerry Savelle took Session 3 and Jesse Duplantis took session 4. The following are my scattered notes from the meetings today.

Kenneth Copeland:

Ephesians 4

7 But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ's gift. 8 Therefore He says: "When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive, And gave gifts to men." 9 (Now this, "He ascended"--what does it mean but that He also first descended into the lower parts of the earth? 10 He who descended is also the One who ascended far above all the heavens, that He might fill all things.) 11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, 13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; 14 that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, 15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head--Christ-- 16 from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.

Matthew 10

40 "He who receives you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me. 41 He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet's reward. And he who receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man's reward. 42 And whoever gives one of these little ones only a cup of cold water in the name of a disciple, assuredly, I say to you, he shall by no means lose his reward."

You have a body. However, when you got born again you died. 

Don't call the tabernacle you live in "My Body". With heathens, doctors, people who won't understand, don't confuse them, just say what they'll understand. But when you are by yourself, or under your breath when they leave, or with your saved spouse, call your body something more scriptural.

• This isn't my body, it's my living sacrifice (Romans 12). 
• This isn't my body, it's a member of the Body of Christ (Body of The Anointed One in His Anointing.)
• This isn't my body, my body died with on the cross, and this body is the risen body of Jesus! It belongs to Him! (Romans 6:8 and Colossians 2:20)

The Work Of The Five - Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor and Teacher. 

The five fold gifts of God to the Church are NOT "ministers". This is a misnomer to talk about people who preach the Word of God from a pulpit "ministers". These positions/titles are gifts TO the body of Christ FOR the work of ministry. Believers do ministry. Now as individuals, the Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor and Teacher all do ministry, but this is no different that any believer. All born again people do the work of ministry. So what's the long term goal for believers? They are given to bring these results:

• Equipping of the believers for the work of the ministry
• Edifying of the believers. 
• Unity of the Faith
• Knowledge of the Son of God.
• Mature Man
• Measure of the stature of the fullness of The Anointing of the Anointed One. 

12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, 13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; 

Unity Of Faith

Notice that the end goal is that the whole body of believers will be brought into the unity of the Faith. This does not say that the unity of the doctrine.

This says:

• The unity of the Faith.
• The unity of the knowledge of Jesus.
• Unto Maturity
• Unto the measure of the stature of the FULLNESS of the Anointed of the Anointed One! 

Speaking the truth in love = growing up

15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head--Christ-- 16 from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.

• Speaking the Truth in Love caused growth. 
• The body of the Anointed One is knit together 
• Every part actively doing it's share is how the body is built up in love. 

Be @X!

If your grace is @X: You provision, prosperity, correction, protection is all @X. If you made your own choices and ended up @Y... You are out of place. The devil will bring the same attacks to you no matter which place you are in because he has no new tricks, he's a dead devil. However, your experience of the attack and the end result will be drastically different if you are in your rightful place.


How do you make inroad back into the perfect Will of God?

• Word First Place. 
• Keep the commandment of Love. 
• 1 - What is THE plan sir? 
• 2 - Your Body: treat your body as a ministry instrument. It doesn't belong to you. Keep it fed, tuned, dressed, etc. Ask Him (the Real Owner) how you ought to treat the body He has lent to you.

Grace: God's overwhelming desire to treat you like sin never happened! 

Favor produces opportunities for The Blessing to operate. 

• Grace = Favor
• Glory of God = God's manifested presence, power, and goodness. 
• It's hard for God to say no! 

Hebrews 4:16

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy,and find grace to help in time of need.

Qualify for manifested God. 

1. Peace with God
2. Right standing with God
3. Access to Favor

Psalms 84:11

11 For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold From those who walk uprightly.

Ephesians 3:2

2 if indeed you have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which was given to me for you,

Question: If my prosperity makes God happy... what should my response be?

Answer: I'll make sure God is as happy as I can make Him! Bless me Father!

• James 1:8 NKJV
• ...he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
• James 4:8 NKJV
• Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded

Consider this wording:

A double minded man can EXPECT to receive nothing from God! 

Put a guard over your vocabulary.

As of 3:07 pm CT... I make the decision that if the bible says I can have it, I have it!

Jesse Duplantis

Jeremiah 29:11
11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

God thinks about me!

Peace: Possession of adequate resources. 

Note to self:

• Forget The Past - It cannot be recovered.
• Delegate The Future - It belongs to God. 
• Faith Presides Over The Present - Only the present belongs to you. 

God's thoughts are not memories. God'd thoughts about you are only future tense: they are hopes of the future. Even when God disciplines his children His intention is to bless us! 

His thoughts of Peace (possession of adequate resources) may be hindered by your conduct. God's thoughts are preludes to His actions.
