Social Media and the Bible

EMIC 7PM Pastor Scott Allen...

John 17
I have given them your word...in the world not of it... sent INTO the world...

We are in the world, not of it, and sent into the world to make a difference for Jesus and the people he paid so high a price for!

Not every Technological Advancement is worth pursuing for Christians or viable for ministry. However if it is and it can be done with purpose and focus it should be used. The calling of KCM and it's partners is to preach the word on every available voice!

Psalms 34:8
Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!

Whether you choose to be a leader or culture setter or not, you are! People all around you are looking for the real deal in you, they compare you to others who are not living the real deal. They are looking for the hope.

1 Peter 3:15
...always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you...

People won't ask you about your hope if you aren't showing any...

1 Peter 2:12 (GOD'S WORD Translation)

Live decent lives among unbelievers. Then, although they ridicule you as if you were doing wrong while they are watching you do good things, they will praise God on the day he comes to help you.

St Francis of Assisi: "Let all the brothers preach by their deeds."
What avenues have I been given and not used? Have I prayed for the people I am linked to on Facebook? Have I considered the impact of my audience?

Matthew 5:13 You are salt...

Matthew 22:23
Go urge the people to come! Come taste my life, see that God is good to me and He'll be good to you too! Where are the highways and byways of today? It's on the Internet 2.0, in social media. Over 50% of the worlds population is under 30 years old, yet over 96% of those under 30 years old are on social media! There is a harvest out there! But we can't just preach, especially not to this generation that is so keen to advertisement lies. We have to live it in front of them, and be real! We can't just post scriptures everyday... show me your life and when I see something I want I'll check it out more. It's fine to post scripture! However, we can't be one dimensional with people and expect them to listen!

2 Corinthians 1:12 (English Standard Version)

12 For our boast is this, the testimony of our conscience, that we behaved in the world with simplicity and godly sincerity, not by earthly wisdom but by the grace of God, and supremely so toward you.

We allow the darkness into these outlets by not participating in them.

Men's Meeting

7am... Lake Worth

What is the purpose of covenant?

  • To remove all doubt
Covenant is establish to define or re define relationship.
  • There are 10 commandments given to Moses and of those 4 deal with our relationship with God and 6 deal with out relationship with people. The commandments of the covenant are about relationship.
When I loose sight of relationship I TRY to receive, instead of just receiving as a child of God.

Satan ONLY comes to steal, kill, and destroy among his tools for this are to cause division in relationship.

God CANNOT lie
Numbers 23.19
Don't put human limitations on a limitless God. How you see God is reflected in how you see yourself. Are you feeling worthless or worth much? This depends on whether you KNOW God's love for you and the price He paid. Value is given by how much someone is willing to pay for something. If God gave His son... How much are you worth?

Heb 6.18 Confirmed by covenant God can't lie.

John 8.44 Satan was a murderer from the very beginning. It's been his nature. Check the source of your situation. God and Satan both have defined fruits. Satan Kills. God brings LIFE Abundant!

Husbands must learn to love their wives, in part we can do this by building her up with daily devotion acts... also taking time to study her and her needs. Read books about her needs. Not just yours. You don't become a banker, financier, politician, accountant, businessman, etc... without study. You don't become a Godly and Mature husband without study either!

Psalm 31 WOMAN... Read Woman,Wife,Mother by  Pat Harrison

03/15/2010

In prayer today:

Never before has there been a generation with so many tools and resources and so little success. Value has been placed on learning more than doing. Ever learning but never able to come to the knowledge of the Truth.

It's time to focus. Game Time. Stop seeking ways to get money in and start seeking ways to get the Word out! Promotion will come but it won't satisfy you unless you were already satisfied. Your team needs your anointing, start walking in it!

Ever time you feel great financial pressure you stop. Pray thankfullness over what you have and thankfulness over the Promise and Blessing. Then Pray for the needs of others starting with Leaders, Partners, and Family.

     See:

2 Timothy 3

1 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come... 7 always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth...10 But you have carefully followed my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, love, perseverance, 11 persecutions, afflictions, which happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra—what persecutions I endured. And out of them all the Lord delivered me.

Cinco De Mayo!

Good Morning, 05/05/2011

The following is a selection of quotes from the KCM Bible Introduction.

"... Forget those things which are behind literally!"

"... Stop working hard to "get" back into God's will. Let Him lead you into it. Relax! Stop looking back at the past. It's over. Everything God has for you is up ahead. Go fot it in faith and joy."

"Somebody once asked me, "Don't you ever have any failures?" No, I don't because I don't lay nine-inning games. We play until I win. I would have a lot opportunities to fail if I would receive failure. My shortcomings are many. But I don't count that as failure. I just count that as practice. But when I win, Praise God, that's for real! I don't play fair with the Devil!..."

Maturity Looks Ahead

How many minutes, hours, or days have I spent thinking about the past? "Man wasn't that a great time..." or "If only I hadn't have done xyz I could be so much further along..." The past, your successes and failures, is always a chain to your future. You can learn from the past failures, even use them as examples of what not to do, or repeat. You can learn from the past successes and implement those tools, trades, or abilities to succeed again. Much of what we do is built experience by experience. However sometimes there is a danger in the past. It becomes a hindrance when you are tempted to spend time reviewing the past so much that you are then replaying it. Images, videos and audio in the mind, replaying what you did or didn't do. The glory days as on the football team, or the low days on the streets.

Philippians 3:13-15 (ESV)(emphasis added)
Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But ONE THING I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ (The Anointed One and His Anointing) Jesus. Let those of us who are mature think this way, and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal that also to you.

I must learn to apply pressure to my future. Change requires change. Pastor Art Aragon says that "change requires change, if you want to change you have to change or it wouldn't be change." You can't do that same thing over and over expecting different results, that's insanity. Many times the problems of life attempt to apply pressure on us. Mark 4 talks about them choking the Word in us. To choke something is to apply pressure until it dies by suffocation. So in order to remove myself from the pressure of life I must begin to apply pressure to my future instead; to push back against the pressure pressing me.

I apply pressure to my future by engaging my dreams daily. As I enter into the secret place of the Most High, He begins to speak to me. He tells me things about himself, and about my future and about my present. He gives me insights, ideas, and witty inventions. He gives the ability to see something no one else sees, or in a way no one else sees it. There are unique things I was called to do on this planet, in this life. He called me to do these things before the earth was created! My time in the presence of God, in prayer and study and meditation of His Word brings me to a place that I can hear him and walk it out.

However, if I gain a grand revelation and forget about it by noon and then don't do anything about it again for three years... it will have profited me nothing. Faith without works is dead. So then what must I do to work things out that I hear from Him? Especially, what do I do when the dream or vision of a project or calling is so big that I can't begin to fathom how He could ever bring that to pass in my life? How does the person flipping burgers having visions from God of a multi-million dollar business begin?

But the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may do it. I must meditate on the Word of God day and night that I may do it, not just the bible which is of course the HIGHEST authority and must never be contradicted, but also the word I hear from Him in prayer.

This can be done many ways, it can be done by taking a picture that reminds me of that calling/mission/vision and post it on the wall, door, etc. Every time I see it I can thank God for bringing it to pass in His timing. But whatever the tool, the principle is the same. Keep it before me, meditate it, keep it in my mouth, which brings it into the heart, which comes back out as Faith. Speak to the mountain, daily. I must begin to use my imagination to work for me and not against me. I must imagine days of too much blessing, instead of days of not enough. I, and I alone, must be responsible for my future, through Him who called. He will do the work, if I will do the believing. That is my work. My work is to do all I can to build my believer muscle until I can't believe anything else but that which he has called me to. The work of the believer is to enter into the rest. It's a heart AND mind matter. Selah...Pause and think about it, meditate it, ponder it...

Hebrews 4:11 NKJV
Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience.

Hebrews 4:3 NKJV

For we who have believed do enter that rest, as He has said: "So I swore in My wrath, 'They shall not enter My rest,' " although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.

  • John 17:24 NKJV

Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.

    Romans 11:29 NKJV

For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.

    Ephesians 1:18 NKJV

the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,

    2 Timothy 1:9 NKJV

who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began,

In Him

If we know who we are IN Christ Jesus than we cannot be fooled by other ideas or ideals. If I build a foundation inside of me who I am In Christ, In Him, In Whom... etc... Than I cannot be fooled by the voice of depression which try's to tell me things like: "You'll never make it" "You don't deserve to do..." "It's just not worth it." and so on.

Building a foundation of who I am in Christ is of the highest importance if I am to walk out a strong, CONSISTENTLY strong, life in God and For Christ. It's one thing to dedicated yourself to the life of God and Christian principles while you are in your mountain top experience, while you are at the camp, or the service, or you've just had some grand repentance and restoration. It's another thing to go back to school or work on Monday and live that out when you don't "feel" the experience any longer.

It has been said that "Faith begins where the Will of God is KNOWN." So what is the Will of God? Among the best places to start building inside of me, not just an understanding, or a mental agreement, but a reality, a knowing, an unshakable living of the truth of God's will for me, is to meditate on the truth of who I am IN HIM.

Kenneth Hagin wrote a powerful mini-book called "In Him" ISBN 0-89276-052-4. You can purchase it from you local bible book store or from Amazon. I also found a PDF online at http://hopefaithprayer.com/online-books/.

So what are these kingdom realities? I am compiling a list of my favorite scriptures of In Him realities. However I also learned it's not enough to know them, memorize them, quote them or even preach them... It must be taken into the heart in order to over ride the base programming in your life. There are words, some say they are like broken records, that repeat inside of you. I, being a computer person, call them base programming. There are programs on your computer that run all the time. They tell the computer what to do, prioritize commands, run other programs for you. You put a disc in to watch a movie and all sorts of things run in the background to make that happen. There are command files just to run the sound, another for the visual and so on.

These command functions or base programs run without you being aware of them, so it is in your mind and heart. You may not even be aware of these programs, built of words and images and emotions, because you've never known to look for them. You can, however, detect them if you want to. Just be still for any length of time and you will hear some words, or have an emotion rise up. The next time you have an emotional reaction that you don't want, for example, anger, depression, frustration, lashing out... Stop, right then, what words were you speaking/thinking?

After you yelled, lost your temper, or blew up, did you here "It's just not worth it!" "Those people never..." "Why can't they just..." These are base programming. You are who you are, what you are, you react the way you react... because of base programming. You must begin to pause, identify, and challenge these programs and replace them with new programming if you want new reactions, new emotions, new life. The bible calls this renewing your mind.

You take the words, and replace them with what God said about the situation. You can't just do this in the mind though, it also must be in the heart/spirit. You must meditate. Meditate in the Hebrew understanding of it, means to speak, murmur, repeat aloud to oneself, imagine, etc. The idea is to consider the Word until the image becomes bigger on the inside of you than the image of defeat or lack or whatever you are facing.

Romans 12:2
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Ephesians 4:23
and be renewed in the spirit of your mind,
Joshua 1:8
8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

Memorization is a mind matter. Meditation is a heart matter. It with the heart a man believes and with the mouth confession is made to posses it. Both heart and mind must be engages in the process of reprogramming. Romans 10:9-10. Kenneth Hagin says on page 6, "When you talk about defeat you're talking about the works of the devil." This we know is true because Jesus told us in John 10:10 that the Theif ONLY comes to steal, kill, and destroy. If the devil is present he is there to steal, kill, and destroy. If there is ANY stealing, killing, and destroying it is because the demons are present. God NEVER puts sickness on someone, John 10 says that this is a work of the devil, and Deut 28 tells us that it's a work of the curse. Therefore if you experience defeat it is not of God. Jesus came to bring LIFE and BLESSING. *
John 10:9-11
New King James Version (NKJV)
9 I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. 10 The thief does not come EXCEPT TO to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have LIFE, and that they may have it MORE ABUNDANTLY11 “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.

Therefore what are some IN HIM realities?

1 John 3:2

Beloved, now we are children of God...

I am a son of God! I am loved! He is my Father! He loves me and wants good things for me as any good father does. He wants me to succeed and prosper and be in good health. He gives me richly all things to enjoy! (1 Timothy 6:17)

John 15:7
7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will[a] ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.

I abide in Jesus, I allow His words to abide in me! I ask what I will, because his Word which is his Will abides in me, and it is done for me!

2 Corinthians 5:17 and 21
17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new...21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

I am IN CHRIST, in the Anointed One and in His Anointing! I have become the righteousness of God! I am His Righteousness! Not by my works but by His!

Romans 8:1
1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus,[a] who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.
Romans 8:37
37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
Acts 17:28
28 for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’

As the righteousness of God I am under NO condemnation. I am more than a conqueror! I can stand in the presence of THE Holy God, Creator of the universe with total confidence because of His Son's sacrifice! Therefore I can stand before any man, woman, and any angel or devil with even more confidence. I am under no condemnation and I have the victory! I stand before Him alone! It is through Him I live and move and have MY being!

1 John 4:4
4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
Psalm 91:7
7 A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you.

I am of God! I am HIS CHILD! Greater is He who is in me than ANYONE or ANYTHING else! I have the greater one in me! I can face any situation. 11,000 people can fall on either side of me and I stand untouched!

Philippians 4:13
13 I can do all things through Christ[a] who strengthens me.

I can do ALL THINGS through the Anointing of the Anointed One which strengthens me! All things is all things! There is nothing I cannot do or accomplish is if I always factor in the anointing!

Dreams. Hopes. Goals.

Somewhat disjointed: Notes from various teachings this week... I felt it was important to write it down somewhere.

DREAM

Charles Capps wrote that Hope is the Goal Setter of your Faith just as the thermostat is the goal setter for the air conditioning unit. Love is the power and connection as wiring and electricity are to the process.

A man walks into the room and feels that it is HOT. He checks the temperature gauge and finds it is 90*. He begins to set the thermostat to 70*. A religious person comes along and says, you can't set that to 70*, you are lying to the machine, it's not 70*.

Sounds silly, but people do it all the time. You can't say you are healed when you are sick, you are lying. You can't say you are prosperous when you are broke and in debt, you are lying. No, I'm not lying. I'm setting the thermostat in order to change my environment.

Jim Carry once wrote a check to himself dated five years in advance for $10,000,000 for acting services rendered. He carried that check everywhere he went. At the time he was a broke Canadian comic, a total unknown. By the date on the check he'd released three major motion pictures and was drawing over $20,000,000 per picture. What did he do? He set the thermostat.

The thermostat is known as Hope in the bible. We also call it Dreams. Goals. Vision. Imaginations. Desires. These are all words to describe the thermostat of our lives.

Faith is the substance of our hope as the Air Unit is the substance of our cooler air. Without the unit the are would not cool. Without the Thermostat the unit would not have any goal set to accomplish and would sit, totally prepared to do the job and never produce anything.

Love is the POWER. Without electricity the Air Unit and the Thermostat would both be inoperative. You need power to connect the two and cause production. Love is the power that connects you Hope(Goal Setter) and your Faith (Producer of Substance Hoped for.)

It is not loving yourself, others, enemies, or even God that is most important here. It is tapping into, believing, and being TOTALLY convinced of, HIS LOVE for YOU! When you are totally enraptured with His Love for you, than you will be unable to doubt him ever again. Without doubt you are able to receive by faith the things you hope for.

Pastor Terri Savelle Foy talked about dreams. Without dreams you have no goal set for the fertile ground of your heart to produce. Putting dreams into writing sets the GPS of your heart.

Faith and Love protect your heart as a breastplate of armor, Hope protects your mind as a helmet.

Hope requires you to be consistent and hold on. You cannot waiver. If you doubt/waiver, you do not receive.

Disney saw his vision come to pass, the dream was so big on the inside that even though he had died long before the corporation is still expanding today. It still hasn't breached the boundaries of Disney's heart.

You cannot let finances drag you down. I do not serve money. I serve God! Money serves me!

If I let pressure of finances get to me, I'll stop dreaming or put hopes on the shelf. I must press harder into the dreams during times of pressure. I speak to circumstances and tell them how to react and what to do.

Hebrews 11:1
By Faith We Understand ] Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Hebrews 10:23
Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised isfaithful.

Habakkuk 2:2

New King James Version (NKJV)

The Just Live by Faith

2 Then the LORD answered me and said:

      “ Write the vision

And make it plain on tablets,

That he may run who reads it.

1 Corinthians 13:13
And now abide faithhope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

2 Corinthians 10:14-16

New King James Version (NKJV)

14 For we are not overextending ourselves (as though our authority did not extend to you), for it was to you that we came with the gospel of Christ; 15 not boasting of things beyond measure, that is, in other men’s labors, but having hope, that as your faith is increased, we shall be greatly enlarged by you in our sphere, 16 to preach the gospel in the regions beyond you, and not to boast in another man’s sphere of accomplishment.

Colossians 1:23
if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, which was preached to every creature under heaven, of which I, Paul, became a minister.

1 Thessalonians 1:3
remembering without ceasing your work of faith, labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ in the sight of our God and Father,

1 Thessalonians 5:8
But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation.

James 1:5-8

New King James Version (NKJV)

5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
