Running From or To?

I've heard Kenneth Copeland say several times over the last few years: "When you sin run TO God not FROM him! Your sin is none of the Devils' Business!" I've been thinking about this idea of "From" and "To".

Don't plan to retire FROM your job... retire TO a new and higher level of living and purpose and drive! Otherwise you rot away from boredom.

Don't try to get a promotion FROM the position you don't like right now... you'll just end up with another position you want to get FROM again. I spent years running FROM one job to another "Greener" job that wasn't so Greener.

When looking for your next place, house, job, task, goal... etc... look to ensure that your motive is seeking God to move in TO his next plan for you and not just FROM where you are. There is a profound difference! Even the right move with the wrong foundation will cause serious delays and detours.

Jeremiah 1

4 Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying , 5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. 6 Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, I cannot speak : for I am a child. 7 But the LORD said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak . 8 Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the LORD. 9 Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth. 10 See , I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out , and to pull down , and to destroy , and to throw down , to build , and to plant . 11 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying , Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said , I see a rod of an almond tree. 12 Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen : for I will hasten my word to perform it.

100th Post!

100!

Is 100 some kind of starters milestone? This is now my 100th post on this blog. I have several blogs, but this is my primary one. On this URL alone I've posted 99 blogs. Many were from daily reading and a few from studies. I've gone to studying topics separate from posting daily reading. Then I stopped posting altogether, or I would have hit 100 long before.

Tonight, Pastor George spoke about prosperity. The purpose, and reason for it. He spoke about how the rich young ruler came to Jesus, and Jesus tried to free him from having Money Master him. He loved money instead of loving God. If money had been his servant rather than his master, Jesus would have taken him on, most likely as Judas replacement, and shown him that anything you give for Jesus comes back to you 100 fold again and again. You can't out give God!

What does this mean to me... what am I going to do to take my money relations in God to the next level. We already started by having a separate account JUST for giving. We have the tithe auto separated through payroll deduction into that account, plus a little extra for seed. Now what? I want to start giving goals. I want to decide to set my faith towards doing some specific things for people. Examples could be:
  • Paying for a months groceries for someone (And actually doing their shopping for them!)
  • Paying someones rent/mortgage payment
  • Paying off/buying a car for someone
  • Paying off/buying a house for someone
  • Buying/Paying for someone to start or take over a business!
  • Give $1,000 to the work of God
  • Give $10,000, $100,000, $1,000,000 to ministry work in one offering!
  • Etc Etc... Start with a goal and work toward that.
If I set my faith toward giving specifically, I believe that God will multiply my seed even faster than He is now, and that He will assist me supernaturally to see these things come to pass!

I expect the hard part will be, stopping and remembering when any money comes into my hand to ASK God what the purpose of that money is. "Lord, is this for me? For My bills/needs/wants... etc? For my giving and giving goals? Does this belong to someone else? What would YOU have me do with this?" If I will remember that I will be on the right track to giving. This is what tonight did for me.

Ezekial 38-39 End Times Battle Line Up

I read a very intersting article on "The Nations of Ezekiel 38-39" published in 1985 by Fred G. Zaspel of Word of Life Baptist Church, Pottsville, PA

Neither Russia or Germany are named among the end times battle participants that come against Israel. After seeing his insightful analysis  there are four major areas mentioned.
  1. Turkey (Major Player) (Meshech, Tubal, MaGog (Land of Gog Prince Cheif of the Land)
  2. Iran (Persia)
  3. Sudan (Ancient Ethiopia or Cush)
  4. Libya

These are the key players on this event.  This indicates Turkey will take the lead role in this attack joined by Iran, Sudan, and Libya. This makes even more sense as you look at the map and see that this creates the 360 degree attack that is described in chapters 38-39.

Ezekiel 38-39 Line Up Attack

The attack will come suddenly and God Himself will defend His Bride. This is of special interest to me as I have been seeing new evidence of timelines regarding these last days.

Pastor Ray Bentley shares the "Decade of Destiny" and outlines time frames that points to when this Ezekiel line up could play out.

     More on this later.

What if the end is NOT near?

“Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye THINK NOT the Son of man cometh.” (Matthew 24:44)

In an article about an article about an article... lol... The story in USA Today by Tom Krattenmaker is pointed out by Jack Kinsella. There is a shift in public press that is interesting. The last line of the article is what hit it home for me. I always read Matthew 24:44 and thought that just meant we ought not loose sight and forget He is coming. Now I realize this was actually pointing to WHEN He is coming. It's not so much saying that we must not forget, although it is saying that, it is ALSO saying that people will seek NOT to believe.

Think:
In Greek: dokevw
Pronounced: Dokeo

Definition
  1. to be of opinion, think, suppose
  2. to seem, to be accounted, reputed
Not:
In Greek:  ouj
Pronounced: oo

Definition
  1. no, not; in direct questions expecting an affirmative answer

People are at large and in mass will be looking for ways NOT to THINK about the coming of the Son of Man. This article from Cloud Ten points out that for decades the question posed by media has been: "Is the end near?" And now it has become: "What if the end isn't near?" This shift to looking for a way NOT TO THINK about it or looking for a way to THINK IT NOT is another sign of the end times. We are coming to a head. It could be several decades yet. There are certain things that still have to happen. But they could all happen very quickly! The BEST is yet to come for those who Follow Jesus. Not only in heaven, but right here on earth. The last days for believers is the BEST time to live. Miracles and Signs and Wonders are coming in force. After the gospel is preached to the WHOLE EARTH the end will come. Major crusades and signs in the streets. Healing, dramatic healing, will not just be in meetings behind doors, or even on TV. These will occur in grocery stores and on street corners. There is coming swift a new age. It is the last "Glorious Church" that Jesus is coming back for. And Glorious we are becoming.

Praise God... DW

No More Need Talking!

"Need" is a four letter word to God...

I have found myself talking a lot about need. I need this or I don't need that. During the South West Believers Convention 2010 this month The Lord arrested my attention on that matter. I've been meditating Philippians 4. We have NO business talking to God about NEED. None at all. We are Children of God.

Jesse Duplantis asked a great set of questions at the opening of one his messages.

"How many husbands out there have ever bought anything for your wives she did not need?"

"How many wives out there have ever bought anything for your husbands he did not need?"

"How many parents have bought anything for their children they DID NOT need?"

"How many grandparents... and that's all I got to say right there... lol"

So what makes us think that God is only interested in showing up to talk about our need? Well that's just greed... no it's growth! If God is your Father than He's your Father!

How many fathers give good things to their children? How MUCH MORE does the Father in Heaven give good things to those who ask? Matthew 7:11 KJV

So what is Jesus saying here? He is saying God is TRYING to be our Father but we aren't letting Him. Here Paul addresses what he learned about that.

Philippians 4

11 Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content... 13 I can do all things through Christ[b] who strengthens me. 18 Indeed I have all and abound. I am full, having received from Epaphroditus the things sent from you, a sweet-smelling aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to God. 19 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. 20 Now to our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.

  • Do NOT speak "regarding" NEED.
    • re·gard

      [ri-gahrd] Show IPA
      –verb (used with object)
      1.
to look upon or think of with a particular feeling: to regard a person with favor.
      2.
to have or show respect or concern for.
      3.
      to think highly of; esteem.
      4.
      to take into account; consider.
      5.
to look at; observe: She regarded him with amusement.
      6.
to relate to; concern: The news does not regard the explosion.
      7.
to see, look at, or conceive of in a particular way; judge (usually fol. by as ): I regard every assignment as a challenge. They regarded his behavior as childish.
      –verb (used without object)
      8.
      to pay attention.
      9.
      to look or gaze.
      –noun
      10.
reference; relation: to err with regard to facts.
      11.
an aspect, point, or particular: quite satisfactory in this regard.
      12.
      thought; attention; concern.
      13.
      look; gaze.
      14.
respect, esteem, or deference: a high regard for scholarship.
      15.
      kindly feeling; liking.
      16.
regards, sentiments of esteem or affection: Give them my regards.

    •  We do not consider, pay attention to, or give thought to NEED. Jesus said that the Father already knows our need and they are not to "Give it thought" "Take no thought saying..."
    • I make a vow to never again say "Do we really NEED that?" Do you want it? Then we decide to get it now or later, but we don't "regard" need.
  •  I am content in every circumstance BECAUSE I CAN DO ALL THINGS through the ANOINTING of the ANOINTED ONE!
    • I do not allow bad circumstances to dictate my emotions or actions, nor do I allow bad circumstances to remain. I take them to prayer in the Spirit and Change them by and through the Anointed Word of God.
  •  I have ALL, and ABOUND, and I AM FULL because I RECIEVED
    •  If I do not have ALL it's in my failure to receive NOT God's failure to give!
  • My God SHALL supply, there is no room for doubt there. He SHALL (that means HE WILL) supply. Can you receive it? I can and I WILL!

Father,

  •      You are MY provider and I receive ALL  and I ABOUND and I AM FULL!

  •      I RECEIVE you as Father. I take NO thought for my life, you already know my need.(Matthew 6:25
    • I will only speak to you in terms of Want and Desire.

  •      For you said that you are MY Shepherd and I SHALL NOT WANT (Psalms 23)
  •      I shall ride upon the high places of the earth. (Isaiah 58:14 KJV)
  • I ask, BELIEVE and RECEIVE:
    • Mark 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire , when ye pray , believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Questions for Christians

Catching Up

This two weeks of training has been busy.

I signed on to read Romans 10 and ended up reading I Corinthians 10.

This was very timely and interesting for me.

1 Corinthians 10

6 Now these things became our examples, to the intent that we should not lust after evil things as they also lusted. 7 And do not become idolaters as were some of them. As it is written, “The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.”[a] 8 Nor let us commit sexual immorality, as some of them did, and in one day twenty-three thousand fell; 9 nor let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed by serpents; 10 nor complain, as some of them also complained, and were destroyed by the destroyer. 11 Now all[b] these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages have come.
12 Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall. 13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

31 Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. 32 Give no offense, either to the Jews or to the Greeks or to the church of God, 33 just as I also please all men in all things, not seeking my own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved.

I see here a list, but if you are paying attention it's not the list many of us would come up with when thinking of SIN. This list was written TO God's people ABOUT God's People and therefore is a warning to all of us who ARE God's People.

  • Idolaters
    • Sat down to: Eat, Drink, and Play
  • Sexually Immoral
    • 23,000 Fell
  •  Tempt Christ
    • Destroyed by serpents
  • Complained
    • Destroyed by Destroyer

If I asked you to pick the SIN plaguing the church today is this the list you would choose?

  • Have I made Food, Drink, or Fun a higher priority than God?
  • Have I kept a TIGHT reign on the images and thoughts I allow?
    • Including Shows and Commercials I allow in front of me?
  • Have I Tempted Christ?
    • Have I made light of the Anointing or Anointed One?
    • Have I failed to Factor God IN to the situations I face?
      • The Israelites Complained against God instead of asking him when they wanted something.
      • "Why did He bring us here to die of Thirst?" VS "God, you brought us here, please give us water."
  • Complaining is EVIL. It automatically means: I don't trust God. Period. ANY complaining is failure to Trust in God.

Finally I noticed that MOTIVE is the Key to my interaction with Others and my Work Ethic before God.

Am I doing everything as I report to HIM and not to man? Am I seeking OTHERS benefit above my own? That is a question I must re ask every day!
