How to cultivate Joy... Olivier's Response

Recently I've been praying about direction in my life. I feel as though the wheels are spinning in the mud and I'm not gaining any traction or going anywhere. Among other things the Lord has started moving me toward praying about studying redemption. I've spent so many years studying the finer points of prosperity, healing, etc... somehow I lost the message of sin, the cross, redemption. Redemption, however, includes all those other things like prosperity, healing, peace, joy, etc...

So now with a new perspective, years later, I need to start a study of redemption from Genesis to Revelation all over again. Come to find out that my friend Steve Wilson has been teaching a class on Redemption at EMIC all the Wednesdays services of most of March and April 2013. As I work on Wed nights with the Youth Group I miss adult service those days. I'm downloading those now to start listening as I begin my own study of redemption.

The Lord moved me last night to re-watch the last 30 minutes of "The Passion of the Christ"

Also, last night at EMIC (04/10/2013) Dan Maclean taught on "Knowing God Intimately" as he does twice a year at EMIC. It's never the same message twice, because how could you exhaust that subject? He is teaching on the idea that if you know HIM intimately all your other priorities fall in line. When Knowing Him isn't your number one priority things get mottled.

That then brings me to the reason I started this post. I wrote my friend and he took valuable time out of his day to craft a well thought through response. It's worth preserving here for myself and sharing with others. It goes as follows. The Following is a paraphrase of this interaction I had recently that I need to preserve for future review, and re-review.

I posed this question to my friend Olivier, a profoundly wise man of God:

ME:

"If the Joy of the Lord is my strength... How do I cultivate Joy?"

Olivier asked:

"I am sure you have an idea... what is it?"

I replied:

"Actually I have no solid idea. I've been dealing with discouragement, negative attitudes, and depression MOST of my life. I can put on a good show at work and church but I think I have more temporal happiness than enduring Joy. I'd imagine that praise has something do with it?"

Oliver Replied:

"You can't praise unless you have a reason. Otherwise praise is just a ritual or tactic to get your Father to do something. You praise because of what you remember He did. And therefore, you praise because of what you know He can do and Wills-to do. The reason for being up and down, besides the fact that there is an insane devil who doesn't leave us alone, is because we sometimes overlook the word "constantly" when our Lord tells us to constantly be prayed up, on our guard. Why? Because our flesh constantly acts up and the devil constantly acts up.

Also the main thing is MEDITATE. We are not changed because of the knowledge we get. We are changed because we let that knowledge invade our hearts. Head knowledge can't help.

Remember that we became born again and believers not because we assented or agreed with the truth that was proclaimed. But we were radically changed by that knowledge that was proclaimed to us because we believe in our heart. It is a heart issue and not a head issue... and the heart is changed or affected by meditating, staying on, pondering on The Word.

"The Joy of the Lord is my strength"; that is; "The Word of the Lord is my strength."

Jeremiah 15:16 says that the prophet found and ate our Lord's Words and they were to him the Joy and rejoicing of his heart. We are temporally happy because we remain in the realm of the mind. Joy is found in the realm of the heart. The Word, remembering who He is, what He does, what He's done, how great His Wisdom is... pondering on these things is what strengthens our hearts and makes it be full of Joy.

Jeremiah 15:16

16 Thy words were found , and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy andrejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts.

Our Heart knows Him and leaps of Joy and hearing His voice. Our head on the other hand needs to be educated. The flesh and the enemy want to keep us in the realm of the mind; hence our ups and downs. Because we eventually operate like the world relying on circumstances to either make us feel well or feel sad.

Peace and Joy are connected as well as the other facets of the Fruit of the Spirit. My reason to mention "Peace" is because we rejoice when everything is well and we know we are protected. Well, when we meditate on the Word we realize He is with us and for us. Love springs forth, peace lands on us like a silk sheet and we can't help but rejoice.

My point is that if is no joy there isn't peace either. We can't talk about one without talking about the other. When we come to that realization we then ought to tell ourselves: "How can we be without peace?!"

We can (be without peace) if we doubt that He is with us and has our best interest in mind. We can if we think that we are on our own having to fend for ourselves. Where there is no joy, there is no peace either. However we know that we have peace with Him. Our heart must ponder on that truth.

Why? Because depression is linked to condemnation! We condemn ourselves when we live in the realm of the mind and believe that we are messed up, don't do enough, don't achieve enough... that is where the enemy wants us and if we let him we start getting depressed.

NOOOO!!!

No matter how below level we live, our Lord does not condemn us. The devil does, but not Him. Because He LOVES us unconditionally  If our good works didn't save us, they cannot sustain us. What sustains us is the understanding, the meditating, on His Love and Power toward us so we can do better and better, step by step, glory to glory. Knowing that it is His love and power in us, the understanding of it, that prospers us day by day. Basking in this, in this understanding, is what swells our heart, keeps it in peace, and makes it rejoice.

Help... I need somebody, help not just anybody... HELP!

The number 1 downfall of most restaurant servers is not asking for help and not accepting help when it's offered. Tonight we watched Chef Gordon Ramsey come to the aide of restaurant owners only to get excuses and push back. He is there to save their business and they are not listening to him!

Pastor George spoke this morning of God wanting to help us. How often do we go a whole day without looking to Him for help? Not just a quick "help me" prayer and I'm out the door. I mean really siting there, laying out your day/life before Him and then asking for Him to show you how HE sees things.

THEN waiting to see/hear His response?

Continuing our study on the Word of God for 2012! What about 2012?

The people of God had just seen God break down Egypt through miracles, part the red sea, rain heavenly bread, bring an abundance of quail supernaturally, bring water out of a rock... etc, etc... Yet here they are doubting God's will at every turn.

Moses sends the spies out to survey the land and this is what 10 of the 12 said:

Numbers 13:23-3327 And they told him, and said , We came unto the land whither thou sentest us, and surely it floweth with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it.28 Nevertheless (but) the people be strong that dwell in the land, and the cities are walled , and very great: and moreover we saw the children of Anak there. ...
32 And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying , The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature. 33 And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.

Notice, it's not that they actually were grasshoppers, because we know that in just 40 short years the inhabitants of Jericho were locked up tight in the city out of fear of these Israelites. (Joshua 2:9-13). It's because they had an inner image of themselves as incapable that they were unable and unwilling to take the land.

Not only that, but this fear drove them to direct disobedience to God's word to "GO!" Later we read that God said "ENOUGH! You are going to stay our here and die!" Then they went out to fight when he told them to stay because of the fear of loosing out on the promise. Had they repented of their unbelief and fear and asked for forgiveness God would have atoned their sin (which was provided for by the sacrifices) and led them in. But they stayed in disobedience and then went in disobedience.

You just can't go any place and any time you feel like it. You go as you are LED. Now, lest we get all high and mighty and say "Those crazy people, why didn't they just listen?"; We've done the same things countless times in our lives too. We hear God say something, we disobey, confuse ourselves and then try to go and do it after the time has passed.

I can say, in many ways, that this has been me the last few years. I say all the right things, around people, but don't see much in the way of results. Inside I'm dwelling in doubt and unbelief. But I've made a quality decision that it is going to change. It started last year when I started meeting with a man of God who get help me get outside of my head and see the God sized picture. It's been a slow process with lots of back steps and moving forward again... But forward I am moving. 2012 is MY YEAR! It's a year of great wealth and great opportunities. That is what the man of God, my prophet, Kenneth Copeland, said on 12/31/2011. Yes Lord! You said it, that settles it!

Today at Church Pastor George Pearsons said:

Time, will either be spent wearing you down through worry, or building you up through TheWord!!@EMIC

So we then take a look at the word in Matthew:

Matthew 11:12And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence , and the violent take it by force .

"Take it by force" is the word Harpazo. It is the word we use to get the word "Harpoon". It's an aggressive seizing.

Harpazo:Definition

to seize, carry off by force to seize on, claim for one's self eagerly to snatch out or away

This is not a light word. It's not like someone gives you something and you politely accept the gift and nicely unwrap the paper... No this is a taking by force. God has given you something and the devil is trying to steal it from you. You have to go into enemy territory and take it by force. This is a commando raid, a spiritual swat team, a Heavenly Navy Seal Team...

So take the Word of God, and Harpoon your BLESSING into your life!

Joshua 1410 And now, behold, the Lord has kept me alive, as He said, these forty-five years, ever since the Lord spoke this word to Moses while Israel wandered in the wilderness; and now, here I am this day, eighty-five years old. 11 As yet I am as strong this day as on the day that Moses sent me; just as my strength was then, so now is my strength for war, both for going out and for coming in. 12 Now therefore, give me this mountain

Here is a man, Caleb, that has been waiting for 40 years to possess his promise. He could have spent the last 40 years developing in bitterness against the people that caused his delay, or second guessing his original faith to move in and possess. He could have faded out for any number of reasons and in any number of directions. BUT, he didn't. Caleb meditated on that Word from God that it was HIS LAND so much that it supernaturally strengthened and elongated his life. Caleb was as strong, if not stronger, at 85 years old as he was at 45 years old. He was even more ready to take the land of promise after 40 years of meditating on that promise.

Yet, a few years of self caused delay and we are given up to hopeless statements of bygone days and and things that didn't happen. We are so wrapped up in thinking about the giants in the land that we never see that we have overcome those giants before we took our first step toward them, due to our God's burden removing, yoke destroying Anointing!

Time, should never slow me down or cause me to want to quit. Time is ALWAYS on ME side because the greater One who is in me is outside of time and space. The Word as a seed is planted, my harvest is coming. All I need it time for a breakthrough. Time is not against me, it is for me. Glory To God!

Last Days!

2 Timothy 3
1 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Timothy was the pastor of Ephesus, which was the darkest, most sinful, city in all of the known world at that time. There were thousands of statues/idols of generals and Greek gods and demigods. They were not marble white as we see them today, most were flesh colored, so they would be the ancient equivalent to pornography on the streets of the city.  Many of the members of the church would have been from the slave community and forced to endure commands by owners that contradicted their now born again conscience.

2 Timothy 4
1 I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom: 2 Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.

"Know this..." is the Greek word Gnosis/Ginosko which means to know for sure without doubt, it's a strong word.

"Last Days..." is the Greek word Eschatos which means last of the last. Last day of a month, last month of a year, not the last half but the LAST.

"Perilous"  is the Greek word Chalepos which means exceedingly fierce. (Dangerous, Perilous, High Risk).

The only way to properly define a word is to let scripture interpret scripture. The only other place you find this word in the New Testament is referring to the madman of the Gadarenes.

Matthew 8:28
28And when he was come to the other side into the country of the Gergesenes, there met him two possessed with devils , coming out of the tombs, exceeding fierce, so that no man might pass by that way.

So if we take a look at the things surrounding this entry of the word, we can see somethings that apply to the last days today, it's still the same devil doing the same things. Here are some words that stand out from the account of the madman taken from Matthew, Mark, and Luke, and what they refer to or mean for us today.

CHALEPOS the Last Days and Us:

• Tombs - Death (Modern Preoccupation with Death, Goth, vampires, Ghosts, etc)
• Unclean Spirit (Always refers to a spirit of sexual uncleanness)
• Untamable - Unable to bring into order or proper behavior, in all realms
• Cutting himself - Self Mutulation
• Naked - Nudity and Dishonoring the Body
• Restlessness
• Insanity
• Driven to the wilderness and cemetery- there is something driving people to evil

There is a preoccupation with death, vampires, ghosts, etc in today's world. Goth started as a fad, but there are whole stores now that cater to it. Movies about vampires, ghosts, dead people, witches, psychics, etc... These are point to this preoccupation with death. The mad man had the spirit of sexual uncleanness which drove him to be nude and they could not keep him clothed. He may vary well have opened the door to his condition through sexual things. This generation is obsessed with sex. Regular TV during prime time showing shows with people trying to get into each others beds. The Supreme Court ruled that it was free speech and allowed cable to produce shows during kid watching hours that promote sex, violence, and cussing. The land has become untamable. There is a "new" phenomena that has hit so hard that large numbers of Christian girls at Christian private colleges are cutting themselves to relieve pressure and stress. People everywhere are restless and taking anxiety pills. There is even a new condition for restless leg syndrome. These are all signs of a fierce and dangerous time!

Back to 2 Tim 3:2, The words "Shall Be" come from the word Eimi which is I AM, all about self and me, me , me generation. Lovers of Self is from two words that don't belong together:

Philautos - Phileo (Love toward others, intimate, like a kiss) and Auto(where we get automatic, toward self) They will take love meant for others and love themselves highest of all.

This generation will be thankless, they used to acknowledge God and chose to remove Him, forcefully, from their minds and society. Lack of thankfulness toward God will lead to sinful lifestyle. If you reject God your heart is darkened? What does a heart do? It pumps blood throughout the whole body. So if a societies heart is darkened it pumps sin and death into the whole society, and that's what is happening now to the USA, and the world. They proclaim to be wise/enlightened/better informed and become morons.

Showdown!

Ultimately there will come a moment when it's all exposed. It will be in the same likeness of the exposure of Jannes and Jambres with Moses. These names are only recorded in the book of 2 Timothy. Writings outside of the Bible record for us in history that these are the names of the two famous sorcerers who challenged Moses before Pharaoh. Moses threw down his staff and it became a serpent. Highly revered by the Egyptians. So the two magicians threw theirs down and did the same. But Moses ate theirs and then he took it up and it became a staff again. So God used their game and showed himself victorious. So likewise today, in this era, there will be a showdown of the powers that be. Also likewise we will be likely outmatched by as much as two to one. But God's power will reign victorious! There are dark days ahead, but there is light in the land of Goshen! An Exodus from Eygpt type experience is coming, a  throw down... a battle of powers like that of Elijah and the Prophets of Baal on the hilltop.

The Balloon! ... I AM A BALLOON! 

So Pastor George comes up and takes a balloon. It is flat and shapeless. He begins to blow some, and it takes some form. More air, more form. Until eventually it is a full balloon and he ties a knot on the end.

So it is with the Word of God. All scripture is God Breathed, THEOPNUESTOS. It was God's air that gave light to the darkened earth, and life to a lifeless Adam! It was God's air that gave the Word shape. He breathed some revelation and we got the first give books of the bible, and breathed again and we got some more. Every time He breathed more came.  Eventually He was done and He tied a knot on the end and called it The Word of God/Bible.

If you take the balloon that Pastor breathed into... do you know what you would find? Air? Breath? You would find Pastor George! His DNA is all over the inside of that balloon. And so it is, that God's DNA is all over that Word of God and it is the very essence of what you are in your spirit as He breathed into you and your spirit was Born Again! We are a new creation! Any faith we have is God's faith. It's all Him! We faith with God faith!

Faith doesn't have issues with a house or car or money... the only thing that hinders faith is people! Believe Only! Jesus owns the planet now! It all belongs to Him, and you are His body! Get your image right! The past is paid for! Wash sin and past from you mind, it's gone!

The Solution!

The answer to the darkness in 2 Tim 3 is found in 2 Tim 4. "Preach the Word!" Spend time in the word, not to teach it to others, but to feed your spirit. Only through feeding on the Word can you be strong and mighty in God. All lack of faith is rooted in a lack of time feeding on The Word. 

How often do I study, and study, but it's for information, for a book, for a blog, from a meeting... but it's not time spent eating the Word for myself. I must separate time in the Word for study, and time in the Word for spiritual food. There is a difference. The main difference is the time it takes to read, pray, and  then shut up and listen what the Spirit would have you read and pray about. It's the time where the Word is speaking to YOU that makes all the difference!

“What about 2012? What does it hold? What’s in store? What’s in store for the nations? What’s in store for Israel and what’s in store for the Church? I have a great storehouse. Much more has been stored up in the storehouse of riches beyond your wildest dream that I laid up for you before the foundation of the world. Much more is stored up there than what the Church has ever called for. I never have held back on the Church,” saith The LORD and the God of plenty. “I’ve made it available to you. I put it in My WORD. I gave you a promise and stood behind it with the blood, precious blood of your Savior. But there has been a backwardness in My people about laying hold of the things that I have provided for you. But I will say this: There is a people in the land. There is a people around the world. There is a people strong and mighty, growing much stronger and much mightier and more bold to lay hold and put their claim of faith on the things that I have laid up for you and it thrills Me,” saith The LORD, “because it’s been yours all the time.

“Ah, but what about 2012? 2012 is a year full of surprises. Some surprises are going to shake people up. Some surprises are going to shake people down. But for those who are listening to My voice, those who have made themselves available to My Spirit and to My WORD, you’ll have surprises. Oh, not like the world and not like a lot of carnal-minded Christians. Your surprises will come as suddenlies. Like in My WORD when it said, ‘And suddenly there came upon them.’ And you’ll stand up with a big smile on your face and say ‘I just got a suddenly, didn’t I? Oh! Yes.’ But it’ll not take you by surprise because I said in My WORD I’d show you things to come. I said in My WORD what I speak the Holy Ghost will hear and He will speak it to you. And there are those of you who are seeking My voice and seeking My WORD and seeking My Name and looking at Me in My face while I’m looking at you in your face. And together we’ll walk in this and together we’ll walk through this and there’ll come a time when you’ll just smile at Me and I’ll just smile at you and you’ll say, ‘Ha. Ha. Ha. I knew that all the time. Praise God. My Father showed me that was coming and I was all prepared and it didn’t come on me as a suddenly. But this other surprise that came on me. Oh, what joy. Oh, what thrill. Oh, what goodness. I wonder what else my Father has in store for me. Hallelujah. Praise God.’

“2012? I’ll tell you about 2012. It’s going to be a year of great joy for those who know joy. It’ll be a time of marvelous breakthroughs. This is a time of victory. It’s a time when people begin to realize that My WORD is a living WORD, that My Spirit is the living Spirit, and that you are My voice in the earth. And your voice is the voice of victory. So rejoice and shout and understand that the breakthroughs that you’ve sought and watched over, prayed over, stood in faith for, ah, don’t turn loose now. Don’t turn loose now because they’re at hand. They’re right at hand. They’re right on top of you right now. Praise God. Hey!

“Have no worry. Do not be in fear about the United States of America. Don’t be in fear over the failure of this republic. This is not the time for this nation to fail. I’m not done with it yet. And it may come as a surprise to many; this nation is not done with Me yet,” saith The LORD. Hallelujah.

“We have a job to do. And this year will be like none other where this nation is concerned. And many will say, ‘Oh, woe is us! Oh, woe is us!’ And you know what? Oh, woe will be them.

“And there are others who’ll say, ‘Oh, we can’t win! We can’t win!’ And to them they can’t win.

“Ah, but to those of them who say, ‘Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha. This is a time of greatness! America again! Oh, and it’s my nation and it’s God’s nation and we’re right where we’re supposed to be. He has us right where He wants us, and our future is bright because God is still LORD over the United States of America.’

“So rejoice and give forth a glad sound because The LORD of glory is still on the throne and prayer changes things and together we’re going on to greater victory.

“Oh yes! 2012 is a time of miracles. Miracles that seemed as if they would not come but they’re here. There is an atmosphere conducive to miracles that’s been growing and growing and will manifest greatly in the first quarter of 2012 and continue throughout the year and on into 2013. I’ve been looking forward to 2012,” saith The LORD. “I know how it’s going to turn out. I’ve already dealt with it in My WORD. Your future is looking better all the time. But of course you’ll need to look at it through My eyes,” saith the Spirit of grace. “So as I said before, rejoice, for your time has come.”

“Now you saw firsthand what a flood and outpouring can do when it falls on natural land and natural things. It goes into places where it never was intended to be. There’ll be water in places where nobody wanted water. And there’ll be water higher than anybody wanted to be. And the water begins to cover up all that you can see but all of the other things begin to float to the top.

You’ll see the power of The LORD begin to float to the surface and begin to bring things out in the open that the devil didn’t want anybody to see. Ah, but you wait and see what happens on the wave of that flood. For it begins to wash in as well as wash out, because when all of the junk washes out, all the good stuff washes in….And the glory of The LORD shall shine round about and the glory of The LORD will be in places that you and most other people had no idea that it would ever shine—people in foreign and funny religions with funny and really silly ideas. “But they are seeking Me,” saith The LORD, “and I am going to manifest Myself to them right in the middle of their funny meetings—right in the middle of their worshiping I don’t know what. I will manifest Myself to them. I will jubilee them into the kingdom of God and show them things that they know not of and they will be glad and you will be glad and the devil will be sad and everybody will be a thrill and a breath away from glory itself. For these are those days,” saith The LORD, “and you will see it happening because it is raining right now. It is raining right now. It is raining right now!”

I will now endeavour to recount my notes, some of which were said at the meeting and some of which are what I heard the Holy Spirit say to me during the meeting. I can't recall now which is which so these are the notes I took. I encourage you to listen and see what the Spirit tells you regarding 2012!

"2012 will be the most God revealing year ever!"

Norvel Hayes tells a story of a time he visited a church of about 300. The people were believing for a bus. God has made Norvel a man of means and he could have bought the bus. However, it's not his money, it's God's money. You can't meet every request for funds you see/hear you must ask God what HE would have you do. In this case God tells him to instruct the people in how he believes for things in his life and ministry. "Teach a man to fish..." principle. He pulls out a ten dollar bill. He says "I have a ten dollar bill here that I am going to sow into this project. He then laid out exactly what he was going to do to believe God for the thousand dollar harvest. He spent hours with them teaching them. He made an appointment to come back in a certain number of months to check back and they would all be able to come back with a thousand of their own.

Norvel came back and not ONE person had their thousand. He received his thousand outside of any of his normal business means. They ALL should have had the same result. But hardly no body thought about his teaching after they left that night. A few did hear and felt bad about forgetting and then tried to catch up. Some did come with 100 here or there. He said the Lord told him that he planned for that church to be filled with $300,000 plus that night.

What Happened?????

1. They didn't make a decision to take the Word of the Lord seriously.
2. Because they didn't make a decision they didn't hear. (Spiritually hear)
3. Because they didn't hear they couldn't see it. 
4. Because they couldn't see it they couldn't say it. 
5. Because they couldn't say it they didn't act on it. 
6. Because they didn't act on it they didn't receive it. 

Anytime God speaks MAKE A DECISION to believe it and take it seriously. No prophecy just comes to pass. Just like the people on Nineveh in Jonah's day, you must act on it. You action changes your future!

Kenneth said: You are about to hear some of the things God has planned for 2012. If you don't come out of 2012 with the BEST YEAR you have ever even heard of it's because you didn't make a decision...see the above list.

Now what is the opposite of failure? What is the KEY TO SUCCESS?

1. You make a decision to take the Word of the Lord seriously!
2. Because you make a decision you hear!
3. Because you hear you see it!
4. Because you see it you say it!
5. Because you say it you act on it!
6. Because you act on it you receive the Word of the Lord!

Trust in God = BLESSING

Deut 30:19
BLESSING vs Curse is YOUR CHOICE NOT GOD'S! YOU CHOOSE! God even tells you his choice for you "LIFE" but He won't make that choice for you! Poverty/Sickness VS BLESSING/Health is YOUR CHOICE!

Cursed men don't see when the plenty comes. BLESSED men don't see when the drought comes.

If you give enough attention to the Word of God it will eventually begin to speak to you! When it does you are on the verge of seeing the unseen. When the Word of God begins to speak to you, even when you are not physically looking at it anymore, you are on the verge of seeing the invisible and doing the impossible.

But don't let the Words/Sayings depart from your eyes/ears/heart...

Joshua 1:8
This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

Speak the Word, speak about the Word. Study, Meditate, Observe to do.

Meditate means to murmur, speak to yourself, repeat, observe, consider, ponder, imagine...

What you choose to observe = meditation.

If you are observing politics, economy, news, TV, drama, sitcoms.... You are observing things all the time. You can't help but observe something. Whatever it is you observe you ARE meditating. Choose the better thing, like Mary in Martha's house.

2 Cor 4:16-18 
Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

Faint Not! Your inward man is being renewed by the Word. Paul was not LOOKING AT his afflictions. So he said they were light. While we look NOT @ SEEN... But look @ UNSEEN...

Consider/Count Temporary things as temporary.

Heb 12 We are compassed (surrounded) by witnesses. Run looking unto... just like Jesus ran looking unto...

Jesus didn't keep his eyes on the cross but on the JOY beyond it. He said "I only do what I see my Father do!"(John 5:19) Jesus gave us an example of what our prayer life should look like: "Go to your prayer closet in secret where no one can see you and there your Father will reward you!" (Matthew 6:18)

What was he saying? Was Jesus saying prayer get you tokens? Like: "Here is a gift for praying today little child!" NO! But that's the way we've read it! Jesus was saying that there is no reward/benefit to praying out in front of everyone for the purpose of being seeing. That is religious nonsense. Prayer is about getting into the presence of the Father in His Word and then letting Him speak to you through the Word and the Spirit! Then you are able to decide/hear/see/say/do/receive! There is reward (benefit, quality outcome, dividend) for that kind of prayer! That is the prayer Jesus did and that's why HE lived so successful! Jesus was literally telling us THE KEY to his success in life and we treated it as a simple "Stop being arrogant" message! 

Sight. What is seeing? Is seeing only done with eyes? Blind people will tell you they "see" the world through different eyes. I actually watched a documentary on vision where a man born blind learned to make clicking sounds by his first few years of life thereby using echo-location like a bat to see his way around. He can literally describe, in a rudimentary way the obstacles he is working through... WITHOUT TOUCH!. The sight function of his brain re-purposed to create image from his available senses.

Try this: A man walks into a house. It's a beautiful house in the mountains of Colorado. It's a thin house, longer than it is wide. Much like it were a bird house. When you enter the door there is a floor of red tile and a bench to place your muddy boots aside before entering. Ahead in the living room is a HUGE window that frames the mountain in back of the house...STOP...

Did you see it? Did you have images of that house pop into your mind? What color was the house exterior and roof? Was there a lake between the house and mountain range? What else did you see that I didn't describe? That is the power of the mind to "SEE" things. That SEEING ability is what God created us with to SEE our future and mold it to that image. He places the image in us and we walk with Him creating that future together. We must be cautious to paint only what HE reveals to us and not fill that picture with our own ideas. We cannot create plans and ask that He BLESS them. We must get HIS plans because they are already BLESSED!

What is a piano? It's a wood box. It could have just as easily been a coffin? Why is it a piano? Because someone built it/crafted it to be a piano. Framers come in with raw wood and bang away to create a shell. Finishers come in and do the fine detail work, like on the cabinets. Jesus is the Author and Finisher of our faith...

You don't see with your eyes, you see by revelation!  Aha! Moments.

Despise = Give no attention to. Jesus didn't give any attention to the shame because his eyes were on the JOY!

You become weary in well doing and faint in your mind by giving attention to other things and NOT giving attention to the Word! (Gal 6:9)

Christ = Anointed One and His Anointing!

What things were gained to me I counted the loss for the Anointing! (Phil 3:7) Lit Counted as dung!

I major on ONE THING: Forget the past and PRESS for the goal! (Phil 3:12)

Typhoon - Hurricane - Tempest all the same thing. Paul warned the people not to go to see because of the storm coming. They went and took him, a prisoner, anyway. He got so distracted by looking at and meditating that storm that he lost hope of life along with the rest of them! Even though Jesus appeared to him before hand and told him that he was assigned to preach in Rome! An angel had to come down and shake him up and get his attention back on the Word of the Lord, back on the plan! Then he could tell the men to take joy in the salvation about to come and they must have thought he was nuts! But they lived! (Acts 27) Paul got his attention fixed by the angel and his focus snapped together and he took authority of that situation, this is what we must do. When there comes a situation that makes your heart fail, fear creeps in (or storms in), you feel foggy, sad, depressed... when anything other than a strong sense of victory is present within... this is a sign that you must turn to the word and focus on the Word of God. Speak it out loud... Make a decision that you are going to believe God over the circumstance, read/hear God's word, see it, say it, act on it, and receive a change inside before you see any change on the outside. Notice that Paul didn't wait until the storm was over to say "Hey we made it!?!". Paul said that it was going to be alright when nothing had changed externally yet. Paul got his eyes on the anointing and off the ship. His inward change brought outward result.

When Peter walked on the water he got his eyes on the wind and waves and fear caused him to start to sink... first of all have you ever stepped into a pool? You don't "Start to sink" you are under in less than one second! Even with fear Peter was keeping some result because the Word is that strong! He was a trained fisherman and sailor. He was trained to observe the wind and waves in order to react and respond accordingly. However sailing a boat and walking on water do not operate on the same sets of laws. Therefore his experience was a hindrance to his faith. This is why Paul said that he counted all his degrees and experience as loss for the sake of the Anointing. The anointing doesn't care about your degrees and experience or lack thereof. Forget your support system!

There are NO excuses for failure! The Word always works. You either worked the Word or you didn't.

You don't make plans and ask God to bless them. You get on God's plan and it's already blessed! (Notice Plan Singular!)

Joshua and Caleb saw the same giants that the others saw but they focused on the Word of God had a different report. for 40+ years they wandered the desert with that group of unbelieving people. Delayed because of others disobedience. They could have let bitterness develop or pondered those giants and thought "Maybe they were right" or any number of things in those 40 years. But they didn't. They focused on the Word of God for 40 years. So much so that Caleb was as strong at 80 as he was at 40 and he took his mountain for God when finally given the chance!

When combat time comes what do you do? Make up plans? Consult with men? How are we going to take Jericho? Nobody would have said: "I know... let's march around the city seven times and yell at it!"

NO NO NO.... Look at the word day and night until the plan of God is not just birthed inside of you but FULL GROWN in you. Until you see it, in full, already won inside of you before you set out!

Jesse Duplantis says the key to successful leadership and ministry is:

Never let them forget what you did. Remind them about what you are doing. Let them know what you are going to do. 

This gets everyone on the same page and that continued focus build the faith inside. I say that must be true in a household too. Remind yourself and family what you've done with God in the past, what God is doing now, and what God is GOING to do! That builds faith! God commanded Joshua to have courage. This is how you do it! See it until you see it!

See it until you see it!

Imagine it, see it, say it, it comes to pass. What happened at the tower of Babel? Thought was confused. This does not indicate that languages were immediately changed. Rather people couldn't get on the same page of thought. Nail. Do you mean big nail, small nail, hang nail? What do you mean? It became so incapacitating that they separated and went their way. Up until this time there was only one system in the world, God's system. See it, Say it, Do it! Now they had to find their own way and reason became the ruling rule. Eventually languages developed and even physical changes took place in people over the course of time. But it started as thought confusion.

You can see without seeing. Just ask Helen Keller. Born blind and deaf people thought she was mentally ill. Water! That was her breakthrough. Her problem was not a lack of mental ability. She wasn't mentally handicapped. She merely couldn't associate a thing with a word or communication. Once she could communicate water to her teacher a whole world opened up to her.

Our problem has always been seeing things in the Spirit until Jesus came. When he came the Spirit of God was able to open that world to us and we, like Helen, had a breakthrough. We could SEE it for the first time! Jesus could then open a world "The works that I do shall you do also."

The Holy Spirit opened out world just like spiritual Helen Keller's. We own 2012. We are so BLESSED and independent of the world's system that we don't mind if there is a recession. We just keep going. We COULD go on not caring about election and who wins or looses. However people that don't know how to live BLESSED are being affected by elections and leaders of this world and so we must vote and care who wins. We don't vote according to natural reasoning's or "Who could win". We vote according to the instruction of the Word of God. We ask Him who, and then vote as we are commanded by our Lord, despite who we think "has a chance".

If you are too busy in life, make sure that everything you are doing are things God told you to do. When God told Kenneth to go on radio he said "I don't see how I could do that?" He was preaching 7 days a week and sometimes multiple times a day. But only half of that was God. He took on more than God asked him to. He wasn't busy working for God, but he thought he was. Go to the scriptures and meditate until you SEE the answer to your situation, circumstance, dilemma, project, etc. Don't mind the "How". That's not what you are seeking. God is responsible for the "How" you are responsible for the "Do". Like Israel marching around Jericho and shouting at it. They needed the "DO". They didn't need to know HOW God would cause that to knock down walls into victory, just that he WOULD!

Also, if you meditate on wealth apart from God you will pierce yourself through. That's Satan's realm. Don't go meditating on wealth. Meditate on the Word of God and the BLESSING and what it's for: To Bless Others!

Gal 3:13
The blessing of Abraham is upon us. How did God bless Abraham? He was VERY RICH! You may feel like old failure himself. Everything you have ever done has been a failure. But you don't become very rich by your ability. You become very rich because THE BLESSING IT MAKES RICH!

Meditate on THE BLESSING! It's your choice. You choose to yield to the curse or yield to the blessing. See it, yield to it, have it!

SEED. Seed it the way the blessing works in the earth. We don't "give things away", people through things away. We don't give away. We give INTO. We SOW INTO.

Word of the Lord:
Opportunities! 
It's a time of GREAT WEALTH! 
GREAT OPPORTUNITIES. Get you eyes on God and continue to stay in my rest! 
Rest = Release of heaven to you! 
Your full recovery is at hand. 

Our response: I believe I will, I take it, I have it, Thank you for it! I forgive! 

Word of the Lord:
My love for you is very great. I am very pleased. I find no fault with you or in your redeemer. If you have things in your life that ought not be there repent. Think no more of it. Get your eyes on your redemption! "But I've been this way for years" you say. Get over it!

Word of the Lord:
It is a time for Australia's outbreak. You're going to see things in the next 18 months you've never thought you'd see in your lifetime! Things you've been believing for suddenly come to pass!

A lesson I learned: Sin is about attention/focus. What you focus on develops and gets bigger. If you focus on smoking, think about it, try it a few times, eventually it is built in to you. If you think about anger or the wrong that was done if will eventually consume you and because a fortress of unforgiveness.

It upsets God when his people won't receive. Especially because they can't bless others!

New Years Eve... short recap

You didn't make a decision to aggressively possess all God has for you. Because you didn't decide you didn't hear. Because you didn't hear you couldn't see it. Because you couldn't see it you couldn't say it. Because you couldn't say it you didn't act on it. Because you didn't act on it you didn't receive it.



If you don't end 2012 as the best year you've ever had or even heard of it's because you didn't make a decision to take what God has planned for his Body this year. Anyone not operating under the blessing is going to have a hard year, but for those operating under the blessing they will hardly even notice the bad things happening around them.

Jesus said "I only do what I see my Father do..." In like manner we must pay close attention to the Word of God. Not just for ten minutes in the morning or night. Turn the TV and Facebook and whatever else distracts you off! Turn the news and political debates OFF!

When you see the Word say "Despise" as in Isaiah 30:12 it can mean to reject or have a low opinion of. It basically means to think nothing about. They just ignored the Word of God. Paul also Ignored his degrees and history, thought nothing of it because of the Anointing!

Some of you have become weary in well doing. 


If you become weary in well doing & faint in your mind by giving attention to other things and NOT giving attention to the Word!


2012 is going to be a time of GREAT Wealth and GREAT Opportunities!

Enter into the REST!

Both Sin and Victory over sin have the same root. Attention/Focus. What are you giving your attention to, that will rule what you say and do.
